𝗖𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗥𝗔𝗟 𝗘𝗫𝗖𝗟𝗨𝗦𝗜𝗩𝗘 | REQUEST FOR UE–CALOOCAN TO SHIFT TO ONLINE SYNCHRONOUS MODALITY FOR SEPTEMBER 2, 2026

In light of the 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗸𝘀 𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗯𝘆 𝗽𝗼𝗼𝗿 𝗮𝘁𝗺𝗼𝘀𝗽𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗰 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗼𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗳𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗵 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵𝘄𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗼𝗼𝗻 (𝗛𝗮𝗯𝗮𝗴𝗮𝘁), the University of the East–Caloocan Central Student Council (CSC) has formally 𝗿𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗿𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗹𝘆 𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗳𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗼𝗻𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝘀𝘆𝗻𝗰𝗵𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗼𝘂𝘀 𝗰𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗻 𝗪𝗲𝗱𝗻𝗲𝘀𝗱𝗮𝘆, 𝗦𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟮, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲.

Data from the Caloocan City DRRMO recorded a 𝗣𝗠𝟮.𝟱 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝟭𝟰𝟵 µ𝗴/𝗺³ ("𝗨𝗻𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵𝘆 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗦𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗚𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗽𝘀") due to haze from forest fires in Kalimantan, Indonesia, while neighboring areas like 𝗠𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗼𝗻 (𝟮𝟭𝟱 µ𝗴/𝗺³) 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗩𝗮𝗹𝗲𝗻𝘇𝘂𝗲𝗹𝗮 (𝟮𝟭𝟬 µ𝗴/𝗺³) 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗱 "𝗔𝗰𝘂𝘁𝗲𝗹𝘆 𝗨𝗻𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵𝘆" 𝗹𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝘀. Coupled with flooding, heavy traffic, and difficult travel conditions along major routes such as NLEX, travel to and from the University poses unnecessary safety and mobility concerns.

The CSC proposes this 𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗿𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗮𝗱𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗺𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝗮𝗰𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗰 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗻𝘂𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝘄𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗲 𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗺𝗶𝘇𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗱𝗼𝗼𝗿 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗼𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝘇𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵, 𝘀𝗮𝗳𝗲𝘁𝘆, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘄𝗲𝗹𝗳𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆.

As the Preliminary Examination approaches, may this season serve as a testament to every Warrior’s hard work, dedication, and perseverance throughout the first part of the academic term.

Whether you are a freshman experiencing your first-ever prelim examination or an upper-year Warrior stepping on another milestone in your journey toward achieving your academic goals. Regardless of where you are in your college journey, Prelims are a time to reflect on your preparation and application of what you have learned.

Behind every examination are hours of attending lectures, completing requirements, reviewing lessons, and making time to study despite the demands of student life. These efforts may not always be easy, but they are part of the journey toward growth and academic excellency.

May you enter the prelims examination season with confidence, determination, and a calm mind. Do not let pressure overshadow how far you have already come. Take each question one step at a time, breathe when things feel overwhelming, and may your hard work turn into fruitful results. Keep pushing forward, stay focused, and continue to strive for excellence.

With UAAP Season 89 fast approaching, Warrior members of the University of the East community are cordially invited to the pre-UAAP 89 UE Pep Rallies this week!

The lively activities will be held on Wednesday, September 2, at the UE Manila Quadrangle, and on Thursday, September 3, at the UE Caloocan Field.

The various UE Red Warriors teams will be there to meet and greet the UE community, alongside the UE Band, UE Red Drummers, and UE Pep Squad.

𝗖𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝘁 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗹𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝘀 in UE Manila and UE Caloocan campuses will 𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗳𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗮𝗻 𝗼𝗻𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝘀𝘆𝗻𝗰𝗵𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗼𝘂𝘀 𝗺𝗼𝗱𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝘁𝗼𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗿𝗼𝘄, 𝗧𝘂𝗲𝘀𝗱𝗮𝘆, 𝗦𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟭, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲, to give students additional time to recover following recent flooding while ensuring academic continuity.

Please be informed that 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗯𝗲 𝗻𝗼 𝗣𝗵𝘆𝘀𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗠𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗗𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗘𝘅𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 (𝗣𝗠𝗗𝗘) 𝘀𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗹𝗲𝗱 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗼𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗿𝗼𝘄.

If extended, 𝗔𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗻𝗲𝘅𝘁 𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗸 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗯𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗰𝘁𝗹𝘆 𝘃𝗼𝗹𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘆, due to the upcoming ban period. Students may choose to undergo the examination 𝗱𝗲𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝗮𝘃𝗮𝗶𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆.
