This day marks the 64th year of Caloocan City, 64 years of courage, resilience and growth. Caloocan has been a symbol of strength, culture, and community, developing into a city that honors its heritage and looking ahead to a brighter futures.

𝟭𝘀𝘁 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗕𝗦 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 from UCC - College of Engineering immersed themselves in real-world insights and innovation at the 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗼 (𝗜𝗘𝘅) 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲, held on 𝗙𝗲𝗯𝗿𝘂𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝟳 at the 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀–𝗗𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗺𝗮𝗻, 𝗤𝘂𝗲𝘇𝗼𝗻 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆.

Organized by the 𝗣𝗜𝗜𝗘–𝗨𝗖𝗖 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗿 under the supervision of 𝙀𝙣𝙜𝙧. 𝙍𝙖𝙣𝙞𝙚𝙡 𝙏𝙖𝙧𝙞𝙥𝙚 and 𝙀𝙣𝙜𝙧. 𝙀𝙡𝙙𝙧𝙞𝙘𝙠 𝙁𝙤𝙣𝙤𝙡𝙡𝙚𝙧𝙖, and led by PIIE UCC-SC President 𝙏𝙧𝙞𝙭 𝙍𝙞𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙖, Project Manager 𝙈𝙖𝙧𝙫𝙞𝙚 𝙈𝙖𝙜𝙪𝙮𝙤𝙣, and the first-year PIIE officers, the event carried the theme “𝗧𝗮𝘁𝗮𝗴: 𝗥𝗲𝗶𝗺𝗮𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝗟𝗼𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀". The expo aimed to highlight how industrial engineering can strengthen and transform local sectors through innovation, systems thinking, and collaboration.

The event opened with keynote speaker 𝘼𝙩𝙩𝙮. 𝙉𝙚𝙧𝙞 𝘾𝙤𝙡𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙖𝙧𝙚𝙨, a distinguished human rights lawyer and former Senior Deputy Minority Leader of the 16th Congress. His message set the tone for meaningful dialogue on nation-building and inclusive development.

Participants also learned from five more respected industry experts:
- 𝙈𝙧. 𝙁𝙚𝙡𝙞𝙭 𝙑𝙚𝙧𝙤𝙮𝙖, Professional Industrial Engineer, educator, entrepreneur, and founder of Ask Lex PH Academy, discussed how IE concepts are applied in traditional local industries, bridging theory with common enterprise.
- 𝘿𝙧. 𝙍𝙤𝙗𝙚𝙧𝙩 𝙎𝙞𝙮, Co-convenor of the “Move As One” coalition and former Advisor to the Department of Transportation (2013–2017), shared insights on co-designing public transportation systems. He is a Cum Laude graduate of Ateneo de Manila University and holder of a Doctorate in City and Regional Planning from Cornell University. He emphasized collaborative and data-driven urban solutions.
- 𝘿𝙧. 𝙂𝙡𝙚𝙣𝙣 𝙂𝙧𝙚𝙜𝙤𝙧𝙞𝙤, plant geneticist and former SEARCA Center Director, tackled food security through agriculture. With academic credentials from the University of the Philippines Los Baños and as Chairman of CHED’s Technical Panel for Agriculture, he emphasized the role of innovation in sustaining local food systems.
- 𝙋𝙧𝙤𝙛. 𝘽𝙪𝙚𝙣𝙖𝙡𝙮𝙣 𝙍𝙖𝙢𝙤𝙨-𝙈𝙤𝙧𝙩𝙚𝙡, Chairwoman of PH 195 (Public Health Practice) and former Chairperson for DOH Promotion and Education, spoke on strengthening local health units. She is a graduate of UP with BS and MS degrees in Public Health. She highlighted systems-based approaches in community healthcare.
- 𝙋𝙧𝙤𝙛. 𝙅𝙖𝙨𝙤𝙣 𝙁𝙚𝙧𝙣𝙖𝙣𝙙𝙚𝙯, Instructor at the UP Department of Industrial Engineering and Operations Research and Faculty Adviser of the UP Industrial Engineering Club, demonstrated how software tools are used to solve complex industry problems, reinforcing the importance of technology in modern IE practice.

Beyond the talks and workshops, the highlight of the event was 𝗣𝗿𝗮𝘅𝗶𝘀: 𝗜𝗘𝘅 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲, a case competition where participants presented innovative solutions to real-world industry challenges. The competition showcased analytical thinking, creativity, and ability to apply industrial engineering principles to practical problems.

The Industrial Engineering Expo (IEx) is an annual convention designed to spark student interest in the IE profession through enrichment forums, hands-on workshops, and competitive problem-solving. It serves as a platform for future engineers to explore how industrial engineering concepts can be applied across industries — from transportation and agriculture to healthcare and technology.

And for the UCC BSIE freshmen, IEx 2026 was more than just a seminar. It was a glimpse into the impact they can make one day — building resilient systems, transforming local industries, and shaping a stronger future through industrial engineering.

𝐔𝐂𝐂 - 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐂𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐬 𝐎𝐮𝐭𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐄𝐱𝐜𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞, 𝐑𝐚𝐧𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐓𝐨𝐩 8 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐓𝐨𝐩 10 𝐚𝐭 𝐀𝐮𝐭𝐨𝐌𝐀𝐓𝐇𝐢𝐜 2026! 🧠🏆

The University of Caloocan City marked a proud milestone at 𝗔𝘂𝘁𝗼𝗠𝗔𝗧𝗛𝗶𝗰 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲, held on 𝗙𝗲𝗯𝗿𝘂𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝟳 at the 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀 – 𝗟𝗼𝘀 𝗕𝗮ñ𝗼𝘀. Competing against engineering students from across the country, UCC was represented by two teams from the 𝗕𝗦 𝗘𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 and 𝗕𝗦 𝗘𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗶𝗰𝘀 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 programs.

With immense pride, we celebrate our outstanding UCC quizzers: 𝙈𝙖𝙧𝙠 𝘿𝙖𝙣𝙙𝙧𝙚𝙗 𝘼𝙡𝙗𝙞𝙨𝙤, 𝘼𝙣𝙩𝙝𝙤𝙣𝙮 𝙑𝙞𝙣𝙘𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝘿𝙚𝙨𝙘𝙖𝙡𝙯𝙤, 𝙈𝙞𝙡𝙚𝙨 𝙑𝙞𝙣𝙘𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙅𝙖𝙧𝙡𝙤𝙨, 𝙈𝙖𝙧𝙘 𝘼𝙣𝙙𝙧𝙞𝙚 𝙇𝙖ñ𝙖𝙙𝙖, 𝙅𝙤𝙝𝙣 𝙍𝙪𝙞𝙯 𝙇𝙚𝙤𝙣𝙖𝙧𝙙𝙤, and 𝙅𝙤𝙝𝙣 𝙈𝙖𝙧𝙬𝙞𝙣 𝙊ñ𝙖𝙩𝙚—brilliant minds who carried UCC’s banner with excellence and heart. 🌟 Guiding them every step of the way is their professor and coach, 𝙀𝙣𝙜𝙧. 𝙅𝙚𝙛𝙛𝙧𝙚𝙮 𝘿. 𝘾𝙖𝙗𝙞𝙜𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜. The team expresses its deepest gratitude to him—not only for imparting technical knowledge, but also for his unwavering support, encouragement, and commitment to the team in every way possible.

Out of 66 participating teams nationwide, both UCC teams advanced to the 𝗧𝗼𝗽 𝟮𝟱 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘀𝘁𝘀 of the competition. In the Finals Round, Team B secured a 𝗧𝗼𝗽 𝟴 finish, while Team A placed 𝗧𝗼𝗽 𝟭𝟬 out of 51 teams, earning their spots among the nation’s top-performing teams.

What made this achievement even more remarkable was that UCC’s representatives were among the youngest participants, yet they confidently competed alongside more seasoned contenders.

Now on its 17th year, AutoMATHic is an annual intercollegiate mathematics quiz competition organized by the 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀 𝗖𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗹 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗲𝘁𝘆 (𝗨𝗣𝗖𝗘𝗦). The event aims to develop students’ mathematical skills and analytical thinking of engineering students from Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.

The UCC College of Engineering proudly extends its heartfelt congratulations to its finalists for this outstanding accomplishment. More than an achievement, this milestone is a joyful celebration of perseverance, courage, and the promising future that lies ahead.

The UCC–College of Engineering proudly congratulates the 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘁𝘂𝘁𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝘂𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀 – 𝗨𝗖𝗖 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗿 for their participation in the recently concluded 𝗜𝗖𝗽𝗘𝗣 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗲 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 for Mobile Legends, C++ Programming, and Python Programming, held on 𝗙𝗲𝗯𝗿𝘂𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝟳 at 𝗔𝘀𝗶𝗮 𝗣𝗮𝗰𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗲, 𝗠𝗮𝗸𝗮𝘁𝗶 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆.

Among the participants, the programming team of 𝗬𝘂𝗮𝗻 𝗩𝗮𝘀𝗶𝗴 and 𝗝-𝗞𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗻 𝗔𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗻𝗴 placed 𝟵ᵗʰ 𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝟮𝟬 𝘀𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹𝘀, displaying their dedication, skill, and perseverance in a highly competitive academic environment.

The 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗖𝗣𝗘 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗲 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲, hosted by the 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘁𝘂𝘁𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝘂𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀 – 𝗡𝗖𝗥, features various competitions designed to test the skills, knowledge, creativity, and critical thinking of computer engineering students across the region.
