Quality-Driven Excellence: WCC ATC–North Manila’s Five Programs Cleared for PACUCOA Level II — Commitment to Continuous Improvement

On 19–20 May 2026, WCC Aeronautical and Technological College — North Manila (WCC ATC–NM) hosted the PACUCOA Level II formal evaluation visit. Five programs underwent assessment: Bachelor of Science in Criminology, Bachelor of Science in Information Technology, Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Bachelor of Science in Tourism Management, and Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management.
Student representatives from all five programs served as ushers and ushers-in, courteously guiding their assigned accreditors throughout the two-day visit. Attentive and proactive, these students assisted with directions and logistics, even attending to the accreditors’ luggage to ensure a comfortable and seamless experience.
The PACUCOA accreditors were cordially welcomed by our distinguished officers: Dr. Rodge A. Martinez, Jr., Vice President for Academic Affairs, WCC ATC; Prof. Edric S. Torres, MACM, Campus Director, WCC ATC–NM; and Dr. Ma. Cristina Estioco, Vice President for Academic Affairs, World Citi Colleges. Dr. Raymond Patrick V. Guico, President, extended a warm welcome to the PACUCOA team via a vibrant video message, graciously representing the institution despite his absence from the campus.
The Colleges’ Deans and Program Heads provided steadfast support throughout the visit, courteously receiving the accrediting panel and responding comprehensively to queries and concerns relative to their programs. Key academic leaders who facilitated the visit included:

• Dr. Oral Robert B. Roxas, Program Head, Tourism Management – continued to provide steadfast support remotely, ensuring uninterrupted leadership and sustained program oversight despite his physical absence.
The PACUCOA accreditation team was composed of the following specialists:

• Engr. Denis Desolo — Faculty, Instruction, and Laboratories Accreditor (Aircraft Maintenance Technology)
• Dr. Gypsy Mae Casurao — Faculty, Instruction, and Laboratories Accreditor (Hotel and Restaurant Management; Tourism Management)
• Dr. Rebecca Miranda — Faculty, Instruction, and Laboratories Accreditor (Business Administration)
• Dr. Merwina Lou Bautista — Faculty, Instruction, and Laboratories Accreditor (Criminology)
• Mr. Sandee Flores — Faculty, Instruction, and Laboratories Accreditor (Information Technology).
During the initial day of the visit, the accreditation team conducted student-centered interviews, engaging a representative cohort from each program to elicit substantive feedback on program delivery, attainment of learning outcomes, student support mechanisms, and related concerns. To triangulate evidence and verify matters raised during the student sessions, the team subsequently interviewed both teaching and non-teaching personnel. The PACUCOA team also reviewed the institution’s submitted documentation and compliance report for accuracy and completeness.
Concurrently, the Aircraft Maintenance Technology (AMT) program convened a PACUCOA orientation to prepare for the subsequent accreditation phase; the program head, faculty, and supporting non-teaching staff were present to receive procedural guidance and preparatory directives.
On the second day, the PACUCOA accreditors furnished formative feedback, identifying targeted areas for enhancement across curricular design, pedagogical approaches, assessment alignment, and resource allocation. Their evaluative observations included actionable recommendations intended to fortify program quality, strengthen the coherence between learning outcomes and assessment, and optimize the teaching–learning environment.
Resultantly, WCC ATC–NM’s five programs — BS Information Technology, BS Criminology, BS Business Administration, BS Hospitality Management, and BS Tourism Management — successfully passed the PACUCOA Level II accreditation.
The institution reaffirms its commitment to continuous quality improvement and to the timely implementation of the accreditors’ recommendations to promote academic excellence and comprehensive student development.
The AMT program completed the orientation and is prepared to pursue PACUCOA Candidate Status, with application anticipated in December 2026.
