WCC ATC North Manila Hosts Successful DepEd Monitoring Visit

On Monday, February 2, 2026, the DepEd Monitoring Team visited WCC Aeronautical and Technological College-North Manila, for a comprehensive evaluation using the DepEd standard monitoring tool for private schools. Key areas assessed included curriculum compliance, instructional facilities, faculty qualifications, learner outcomes, and quality assurance processes.

The DepEd Monitoring Team comprises of:

• School’s Asset Management and Human Resources Administration

The team commended our compliance across all areas, particularly praising our state-of-the-art laboratories, hands-on training programs aligned with industry standards, and robust quality assurance systems integrating AI-driven learner assessments. They highlighted our innovative practices in technical-vocational education, including sustainable curriculum enhancements tied to SDGs and strong faculty development initiatives that boost student employability in aviation sectors.

This success underscores WCC ATC North Manila's commitment to technical excellence and quality education. We are grateful to our dedicated faculty, staff, and students for their unwavering support!

Empowering Change Among WCC ATC North Manila Senior High School: SDG Seminar 2025 Inspires Future Leaders

October 21, 2025, Tuesday, our Senior High School Grade 11 students from Airbus, Falcon, and Embra sections gathered for an inspiring and impactful seminar focused on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) — the worldwide call for people and the planet to work hand in hand toward a better future.

We were truly privileged to welcome our esteemed speaker, Mr. Egel V. Gumasing, Head, Quality Assurance and Technology Office (QATO), who passionately shared his insights on sustainability, empowerment, and the vital role of collective action. His message challenged us to deepen our commitment toward creating lasting change in our communities and environment. He briefly explained the SGDs and its relevance to education and to our community.

The event kicked off with warm opening remarks by Faculty Member Aloysius John Villacanas and closed with heartfelt reflections by Shary Samorano. The activity was expertly coordinated by Sherry Mae Galaura, with invaluable support from faculty members and student leaders who made this event a success.

Advancing Quality Education: CHED Program Assessment of BS Cybersecurity & BS Data Science at WCC ATC North Manila

WCC ATC North Manila welcomes the CHED team on October 26, 2025, Thursday for an important visit to review our new academic programs — BS Cyber Security and BS Data Science, this is a vital step in ensuring quality education and continuous improvement.

The meeting with regards to the compliance aimed at improving the educational system, ensuring that students receive a quality education, and maintaining the integrity of the educational process.

Filipino Service, Global Excellence: WCC Aeronautical and Technological College-North Manila Hosts DOT’s Filipino Brand of Service Excellence (FBSE) Seminar

The Department of Tourism (DOT) of the Philippines recently held the Filipino Brand of Service Excellence (FBSE) seminar at WCC Aeronautical and Technological College-North Manila (WCC ATC) on September 9–10, 2025 (Tuesday-Wednesday). This comprehensive program aimed to deepen understanding and application of the distinct Filipino hospitality values that set the Philippines apart in global tourism.

On September 9, Tuesday, the full-day workshop welcomed the WCC ATC teaching and non-teaching personnel, focusing on enhancing service delivery by integrating cultural empathy, warmth, and professionalism—key elements of the Filipino brand. Participants engaged in interactive sessions, role-playing, and games to improve guest satisfaction and foster a service-oriented mindset.

On September 10, Wednesday, Hospitality and Tourism students from WCC ATC, University of Caloocan City (UCC), STI Caloocan, and Junior Tourism and Hospitality Management Association of the Philippines-North Manila Chapter (JTHMAP) joined tailored sessions designed to equip them with practical skills and knowledge to embody and promote authentic Filipino hospitality. They learned about customer service standards, communication strategies, and the importance of service excellence in tourism growth and national branding.

This seminar reinforces WCC ATC-North Manila’s commitment to developing competent tourism professionals and staff who contribute actively to the country’s goal of delivering world-class, culturally rich visitor experiences. It highlights the vital role of service excellence in boosting the Philippines’ competitiveness and reputation in the global tourism industry.

WCC ATC NM Student’s Orientation 2025: A Warm Welcome and Informative Start!

Last August 14-15, 2025, the 7F Gymnasium of WCC ATC-North Manila was filled with excitement as we welcomed our new students during the highly anticipated Student Orientation. This two-day event was thoughtfully organized to introduce students to the campus environment and provide comprehensive information about the key departments that support their academic and personal growth.

Representatives from various departments presented their roles and duties, helping students understand the essential services available to them. The Information Technology Services Division (ITSD) showcased the campus technology support and resources. The Guidance and Testing Center shared guidance services and testing schedules to aid students’ academic planning, metal health awareness and well-being. The Human Resource Department (HRD) explained staff support and career services, while the Community Extension Services Office (CESO) highlighted opportunities for community involvement and development.

The Research Development and Publication Office (RDPO) discussed research initiatives and how students can participate. Quality Assurance and Technology Office (QATO) emphasized the importance of maintaining high academic standards and certification processes. The Clinic provided vital health services information to ensure students’ wellness throughout the year. The Registrar’s Office guided students on enrollment, records, and documentation procedures. The Library staff introduced the wealth of academic materials and study spaces available. The Admin department explained the requisitions and laboratory usage. Lastly, the Department of Student Affairs (DSA) explained their role in student activities, discipline, and overall student welfare.

This orientation event not only equipped students with essential knowledge but also fostered a strong sense of belonging and community. We extend our gratitude to all department representatives for their informative presentations and to the students for their enthusiastic participation.

Welcome, AVIATORS to WCC ATC-North Manila! Together, let’s make this academic year a remarkable journey of growth and success.
