What is THE UNITED ILOCANDIA?

The UNITED ILOCANDIA is a Fraternity & Sorority founded together in 1965 by a group of STRONG & COURGAGEOUS men for any Ilocano speaking student/citizen and for any student/citizen who lives in the Ilocandian Land bounded together for mutual improvement to help each other live; and practice CLEAN, PATRIOTIC, UPRIGHT & EXCELLENCE lives so that they will be a credit to their parents, KABAGIS, and friends and merit the commendations of all good citizen.

The big stars honors the Founder(s) of United Ilocandia Fraternity & Sorority that includes the founders of each chapter, and the little stars surrounding the big star; honors all the persons who help and given all the founders strength and support to raise each chapter.

"THE SUN"
Symbolizes the enlightenment and the purity of their intentions to always remember that no ILOCANDIAN shall ever fail as a CITIZEN, as a LEADER, and as a MEN.

"THE STARS SURROUNDING THE SUN AND THE CRESCENT"
It honors all the leaders of the organization who give their best to SERVE & LEAD. It also symbolizes HOPE & COURAGE that never to ignore the organization when perils will challenge them, and reminds each member that one KABAGIS owes to another KABAGIS.

"THE CRESECENT"
It is a sign of secrecy and constantly reminds an ILOCANDIAN of their duties and obligations never to reveal SECRETS of the organization.

"THE FALCON BIRD"
It symbolizes and always reminds that an ILOCANDIAN must practice EXCELENCE & SUPREMACY in all his/her DEEDS.

Sixty-one years ago, a vision of unity took flight, giving birth to United Ilocandia. Your courage, dedication, and unwavering commitment to our motto “One for all, All for one” have built a brotherhood and sisterhood rooted in strength, respect, and shared purpose.
