May 7, 2026- Finally, we have completed the three-day Journalism Seminar held from March 5–7, 2026, at Bukal Sur Elementary School, Candelaria West District. With The Power of the Pen as the seminar’s tagline, we learned to translate our thoughts into writing and resonate our voices in words. It has the power to make a difference when used with wisdom, integrity, and purpose.

We seriously took these insights from our high-calibre speakers and applied them in writing, and our output has stood out and come to fruition with the awards we have achieved together!

📘 HAPPENED YESTERDAY | ARAL SUMMER PROGRAM PARENTS' & TUTORS’ ORIENTATION 2026 🌞

Yesterday, Bukal Sur NHS successfully held the Orientation for Parents and Tutors of ARAL Summer Program 2026.

The session focused on:
✅ Presenting the goals and key components of the ARAL Program
✅ Clarifying the important roles of both parents and tutors
✅ Strengthening our collaboration in supporting learners’ recovery in Reading

Through this shared effort, we continue to guide our learners as they catch up, gain confidence, and prepare for the upcoming school year.

📚🤝 Maraming salamat po sa ating mga magulang at tutors sa inyong patuloy na suporta at aktibong pakikilahok. Sama‑sama po tayong magtagumpay para sa ating mga mag-aaral!

📢 BSNHS IS LOOKING FOR ARAL TUTOR 📢

Good day!
We are currently looking for dedicated and passionate ARAL Tutors to support learners, especially those who are struggling in reading and numeracy.

📌 Qualifications:
✔️ Education Graduate
✔️ College Graduate
✔️ Pre-service Teacher
✔️ Retired Professional Teacher

📌 Responsibilities:
✔️ Assist learners in improving basic reading and numeracy skills
✔️ Provide engaging and developmentally appropriate learning activities
✔️ Monitor and report learners’ progress

📌 Documentary Requirements:
a. Written expression of intent, using the prescribed template in Annex A;
b. Duly accomplished Personal Data Sheet (PDS) using CS Form No. 212, Revised 2025;
c. Photocopy of Certificate or any proof of LET Eligibility/ Rating/ License/ ID for licensed
teachers and other licensed professionals;
d. Copy of valid permit issued by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) for parateachers;
e. Original copy of certification of good moral character issued by authorized entity (Barangay
Clearance, certification from Teacher Education Institutions [TEis] for pre-service teachers);
f. Any available copy of grades or photocopy of scholastic/ academic records, such as but not limited to Transcript of Records (TOR); and
g. Photocopy of certificate/ s of relevant training, if available.

Interested applicant may submit documents at Bukal Sur National High School Brgy. Buenavista West Candelaria , Quezon.

March 18, 2025- Today highlights the importance of strong partnerships among teachers, school administrators, students, and stakeholders, as the Candelaria West District Reading Team visited the school to assess learners’ current reading levels and ensure that appropriate support is provided to help them achieve literacy proficiency.

Their efforts closely align with the objectives of the Candelaria West District-Wide School-Based Management (SBM) Validation and Post-Test Reading Assessment, emphasizing data-driven decision-making, effective instructional support, and the continuous improvement of school-based reading programs.

To ensure accurate assessment and meaningful engagement, facilitators conduct one-on-one oral reading activities using both English and Filipino reading materials. Learners’ reading performance is classified according to the frustration, instructional, or independent levels, allowing facilitators to provide targeted support. Each learner is given ample time to read while receiving focused guidance and immediate feedback, fostering a supportive and learner-centered reading environment.

Ultimately, the team’s work underscores the district’s commitment to promoting literacy, cultivating students’ lifelong learning habits, and ensuring academic success through well-planned, responsive, and individualized interventions.
