: The Silliman University Institute of Environmental and Marine Sciences (SU-IEMS), will host the Bais Bay Environment Forum on May 11, 2026 from 1:30 PM to 5:00 PM at Science Complex Room 110, Main Campus.

The event is sponsored by the Office of Research, Publication, and Innovation (RPI) and organized through the Accelerating Coral Reef Recovery and Restoration Project in partnership with SUAKCREM, DENR-TSPS, the Justice and Peace Committee of Silliman Church, the Philippine Coast Guard, and the Sustainable Environment Alliance for Negros Island.

Led by Asst. Prof. Christopher Burgos, the chairperson of the Dept, and Dr. Karl Villarmea, together with the faculty Dr. Khun Alma, Dr. Lily F. Apura, Asst. Prof. Leah Joy Pilande Capilitan, department secretary, Ms. Genalyn Gargar, the Christmas gifts for the affected families in Manjuyod-Bais were delivered on Friday. The faculty was warmly received by the community who prepared simple yet sumptuous meal for everyone present. Glory to God and thank you students of CHS 2 (2nd semester 2025-2026) for participating in this justice-in-praxis and community-enabling generosity.
