“Two Journeys, One Victory: SJCCI Celebrates Students Triumph. "

A spirit of pride and accomplishment filled the air as SJCCI celebrated a milestone that marked both humble beginnings and bold new horizons. The graduation ceremony brought together two journeys, elementary pupils taking their first big step forward, and senior high school students standing at the threshold of their future, united in one shared victory.

The event was graced by Dr. Renato B. Lauza, Education Program Head of LRMS from the Canlaon City Division, who carried the significant responsibility of confirming and accepting the graduates. His presence underscored the importance of the occasion, formally recognizing the students’ hard work, perseverance, and readiness to move on to the next chapter of their academic journey.

Adding inspiration to the celebration was the esteemed guest speaker, Ms. Erna Lorn D. Espanola, Rpm, CHRA. In her heartfelt message, she shared her personal journey, one filled with challenges, growth, and triumphs that resonated deeply with the graduates. She reminded them that life’s path may not always be easy, but they are never alone. Whether they pursue their dreams or face uncertainties, there will always be people who believe in them and stand by their side.

As the ceremony drew to a close, Rev. Fr. Richard B. Dumalag, the school president, delivered a meaningful final message. He reflected on the remarkable growth of each graduating students, not only in academic excellence but also in character, faith, and resilience. His words served as both a celebration of how far they have come and a reminder of the responsibilities they carry as they move forward.

In a heartfelt celebration of milestones and new beginnings, the Kinder 2 and Grade 10 Moving-Up Ceremony brought together students, educators, and honored guests in a meaningful event that recognized both youthful promise and academic perseverance. The ceremony stood as a testament to the dedication, resilience, and growth of the completers as they prepare to take their next steps in their educational journey.

The occasion was graced by distinguished representatives from the Division of Canlaon, Dr. Pretiza P. Mendrez, SDGO Education Program Supervisor, and Dr. Renato B. Lauza, Education Program Supervisor, LRMS. Their presence underscored the importance of the event and reflected the division’s continued support for academic excellence and holistic student development.

A highlight of the ceremony was the inspirational message delivered by guest speaker Ms. Sheinedy S. Guzon, LCB. In her speech, she shared her personal journey toward becoming a successful student, leader, and individual. Her story resonated deeply with the audience, especially the completers, as she emphasized perseverance, self-belief, and the value of embracing challenges as stepping stones to success. From Classroom to Career: Grade 12 Students Take on Mock Job Interviews

The Grade 12 students of St. Joseph College of Canlaon, Inc. successfully completed their Mock Job Interview, a key component of the Work Immersion Curriculum, designed to prepare learners for the realities of the professional world.

This meaningful activity provided students with a structured and authentic interview simulation, allowing them to practice essential employability skills such as professional communication, self-presentation, critical thinking, and confidence-building. Through this hands-on experience, students gained valuable insights into real-world hiring processes and workplace expectations, bridging the gap between classroom learning and future career pathways.

The mock interviews were generously conducted by the following dedicated professionals and educators: Jemma S. Pacheco, LPT; Zidney Ann E. Oralde, RPm; Jerald A. Serna, LPT; Rochelene T. Villegas, LPT; Shirley Mae A. Neri, RN, LPT; and Mary An O. Canas, LPT. Their expertise, constructive feedback, and encouragement greatly contributed to the success of the activity and to the students’ overall learning experience.

The spirit of excellence continues to burn bright at St. Joseph College of Canlaon, Inc. (SJCCI) as its student-athletes proudly brought home a total of three major medals in athletics and earning not just recognition, but also tickets to the NIRAA (Negros Island Region Athletic Association) Meet.

Grade 12 standout 𝐉𝐞𝐯𝐡 𝐀𝐧𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐧𝐲 𝐄𝐬𝐜𝐚𝐧̃𝐚 displayed remarkable strength and technique as he seized the 𝐒𝐢𝐥𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐌𝐞𝐝𝐚𝐥 in 𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐭𝐩𝐮𝐭, followed by another impressive performance in 𝐃𝐈𝐒𝐂𝐔𝐒 where he also excelled.

Meanwhile, Grade 12 athlete 𝐕𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐌𝐚𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐲 proved to be a force in the field, securing the 𝐒𝐢𝐥𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐌𝐞𝐝𝐚𝐥 in Triple Jump and dominating the Long Jump, where he soared to victory and clinched the 𝐆𝐨𝐥𝐝 𝐌𝐞𝐝𝐚𝐥 and officially earning his spot at NIRAA.

On the other hand, 𝐉𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐊𝐲𝐥𝐞 𝐆𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐧𝐞 delivered an exceptional throw in the Discus Event, capturing the 𝐆𝐨𝐥𝐝 𝐌𝐞𝐝𝐚𝐥 and likewise earning a well-deserved ticket to NIRAA.

These remarkable achievements highlight the passion, dedication, and undeniable talent of SJCCI’s young athletes, who continue to rise above challenges, all under the committed guidance of their coach, 𝐉𝐨𝐬𝐡𝐮𝐚 𝐋𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐨.

Coach Ledio expressed his admiration and pride for his athletes, saying:

Reigning champions JBCMHS-Main have strengthened their lineup by acquiring 𝐊𝐢𝐦 𝐍𝐢𝐜𝐨𝐥𝐞 𝐀𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐚𝐫, the standout spiker and team captain from SJCCI.

Alipar a graduating student athlete caught the eye of the Blue Titans’ head coach after delivering an impressive performance at the Canlaon City Athletic Association (CCAA) meet, showcasing her power, consistency, and strong court presence.

According to her “Very happy jud ko, kay sa ka daghan namo nga maayong gipa kita pag dula ganiha, nakita jd ko japon sa JBCMHS nga team and ako pa ang ilang nakita, and bisan lahi na nga team akong kuyog inog NIRAA cher, paningkamutan japon nako ni nga dula para japon sa akong teammates nga nitoo nako, para sa School ug sa Canlaon City.”

Her addition is expected to boost the Titans’ offensive firepower as they prepare for their next campaign.

The SJCCI basketball boys’ team proudly secured 3rd place in the Canlaon City Athletic Association after an intense and exciting game against JBCMHS-Uptown Campus. The match was a true showcase of skill, teamwork, and determination, keeping fans on the edge of their seats until the final whistle.

According to team captain and graduating student-athlete 𝗝𝗼𝘀𝗵𝘂𝗮 𝗗𝗲𝗹𝗼𝘀 𝗦𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗼𝘀, the team gave their very best on the court.

In an exciting development for the Negros Island Region Athletic Association (NIRAA), San Marc Damasole, the talented captain and setter of the SJCCI Volleyball Boys team, has officially joined the reigning champions, JBCHMS.

Damasole’s exceptional performance during the recent CCAA meet did not go unnoticed. The head coach of JBCHMS, Mr. Allen Supremo, expressed his admiration for the young setter’s skills and recognized his potential to make a significant impact on the Titans’ roster.

“Nakitaan nako siya og potential dugay na, sir. Sa dula nila ganiha, nasayangan rako sa mga lami niya nga set. Ganahan rapud ang Titans nga siya ang among i-pick up,” said Coach Supremo, highlighting how Damasole’s talent stood out on the court.

With Damasole now joining their ranks, the Titans are expected to strengthen their already formidable lineup. His strategic playmaking, court vision, and leadership skills as a setter are seen as key assets that will enhance the team’s performance in upcoming NIRAA competitions.

Fans and volleyball enthusiasts are eagerly anticipating the synergy between Damasole and the Titans, as this new addition promises to bring a fresh dynamic to the reigning champions’ gameplay.

The Sepak Takraw Boys team of St. Joseph College of Canlaon Inc. (SJCCI) earned a commendable third-place finish in their recent showdown with JBCMHS–Main Campus. Demonstrating remarkable agility, teamwork, and determination, the SJCCI athletes delivered an admirable performance that highlighted their growing skill and competitive spirit.

Throughout the match, the team maintained their focus and displayed strategic play, earning the respect of both spectators and opposing teams. Their achievement reflects the school’s commitment not only to academic excellence but also to fostering discipline and sportsmanship through athletics.

SJCCI Volleyball Girls Claim Strong 3rd Place Finish in CCAA After Hard-Fought Battle vs. Masulog High

St. Joseph College of Canlaon Inc. (SJCCI) Volleyball Girls delivered an impressive campaign in the Canlaon City Athletic Association (CCAA), securing a commendable 3rd place finish after a competitive showdown with Masulog High School.

The match featured intense rallies, powerful exchanges, and unwavering determination from both teams. Despite SJCCI’s grit and hustle, Masulog’s steady net play and disciplined defense ultimately made the difference across the five-set duel.

Team Captain Kim Alipar, playing in her final year with SJCCI, expressed a mix of disappointment and gratitude. She is proud of the team’s journey and heart throughout the tournament.

Though they narrowly missed a championship run, the SJCCI Volleyball Girls demonstrated resilience, sportsmanship, and tremendous growth. With rising talents gaining valuable court experience, the team sets its sights on an even stronger comeback next season.
