CHED COMMISSIONER DESIDERIO R. APAG III VISITS PARTIDO STATE UNIVERSITY - COLLEGE OF SUSTAINABLE COMMUNITIES AND ECOSYSTEMS (CARAMOAN CAMPUS)

The Partido State University (ParSU), through its College of Sustainable Communities and Ecosystems (Caramoan Campus), had the honor of hosting Commissioner Dr. Desiderio R. Apag III of the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) during his official visit yesterday, June 12, 2026.

Commissioner Apag conducted a comprehensive inspection of the campus dormitory, laboratories, library, support-to-operation offices, and other facilities, underscoring CHED’s commitment to ensuring that higher education institutions are equipped to deliver quality instruction and services.

As part of his visit, Commissioner Apag also checked the laboratory and field equipment, gears, and tools procured under CHED-funded projects, specifically the Institutional Development and Innovation Grants (CHED‑IDIG) and the Leading the Advancement of Knowledge in Agriculture and Sciences (CHED‑LAKAS) program. These initiatives are designed to strengthen academic infrastructure, enhance research capabilities, and support the advancement of science and agriculture education.

His presence at the Caramoan Campus reflects CHED’s continuing dedication to empowering universities and colleges in their mission to foster academic excellence, research innovation, and sustainable community development.

As the nation observes Eid’l Adha or the Feast of Sacrifice, Partido State University joins Muslim communities in a sacred tradition grounded in faith, sacrifice, compassion, and generosity.

Observed through prayers, family gatherings, and acts of charity, Eid’l Adha highlights values that strengthen solidarity, empathy, and unity among communities. It likewise reflects ParSU’s continuing commitment to fostering cultural understanding, inclusivity, and respect for religious diversity within the academic community.

As the Second Semester of A/Y 2025–2026 comes to a close, the Partido State University – Caramoan Campus (ParSU CSCE) Library organized a simple yet meaningful activity entitled “𝑻𝒔𝒐𝒌𝒐𝒍𝒂𝒕𝒆 𝒑𝒂𝒓𝒂 𝒔𝒂 𝑭𝒊𝒏𝒂𝒍 𝑾𝒂𝒗𝒆 𝒏𝒈 𝑺𝒆𝒎𝒆𝒔𝒕𝒓𝒆” during the examination week.

This initiative offered free hot chocolate and biscuits to students and faculty as a small gesture of encouragement and nourishment amid the demands of final exams. Open to all library users, the activity aimed to provide comfort, promote well-being, and ensure that no one studies on an empty stomach—reflecting the spirit of 𝐒𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐃𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐩𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐆𝐨𝐚𝐥 2, which advocates access to food and improved nutrition for all. ☕️🍪

Partido State University (ParSU) continues to strengthen its commitment to quality and transformative education as several academic programs successfully earned re-accreditation status from the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines, Inc. (AACCUP).

Among the recognized programs, the Level IV Re-accredited programs stand as a testament to sustained excellence and the highest standards. These include the Bachelor of Tourism Management of the College of Hospitality and Tourism Management – San Jose Campus, the Bachelor of Elementary Education and Bachelor of Secondary Education of the College of Education, and the BS Biology program of the College of Science.

Meanwhile, the Level III Re-accredited programs likewise reflect strong academic performance and continuous improvement across disciplines. These include the BS Hospitality Management of the College of Sustainable Communities and Ecosystems – Caramoan Campus, the BS Nutrition and Dietetics of the College of Public Safety and Community Health – Lagonoy Campus, the BS Sanitary Engineering of the College of Engineering and Computational Sciences, and the BS Geology of the College of Science.

Building on these achievements, Level IV accreditation is recognized as the highest level of program quality, awarded to programs that demonstrate excellent outcomes in Research, Teaching and Learning, Community Service, International Linkages and Consortia, and Planning processes that strongly support institutional quality assurance mechanisms.

Similarly, Level III accreditation recognizes programs that have already met high standards and continue to demonstrate excellence in key areas such as Instruction, Extension and/or Research, Faculty Development, Licensure Examination Performance, Consortia/Linkages, and Library and Learning Resources.

The Level IV Re-accredited programs carry a validity period from February 1, 2026, to January 31, 2031, while the Level III Re-accredited programs are valid from February 1, 2026, to January 31, 2030. These periods reflect the sustained quality and continuing compliance of ParSU’s academic programs in maintaining standards of excellence.

More than institutional achievements, the re-accreditations reflect the collective dedication of administrators, the Quality Assurance Office, faculty members, non-teaching personnel, students, alumni, and stakeholders in ensuring that quality education remains accessible, responsive, and transformative.
