The Partido State University is honored to welcome back Dr. Rafe M. Brown, a distinguished Professor of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology at the University of Kansas. This time, Dr. Brown will serve as a Visiting Scholar and Adjunct Professor at our university thru the prestigious Fulbright Scholar Program, bringing with him a wealth of expertise and knowledge.
As an internationally recognized herpetology expert, Dr. Brown will engage in groundbreaking collaborative research focused on terrestrial biodiversity, conservation, and the taxonomy of amphibians and reptiles in the Bicol Region of the Philippines. In addition to his research contributions, he will also serve as a professional lecturer for selected undergraduate and graduate courses at ParSU.
Dr. Brown has received the prestigious Fulbright U.S. Scholar Award, which will enable him to spend five months conducting research and teaching in the Philippines. He is among U.S. citizens selected for this highly competitive fellowship for the 2024-25 academic year, highlighting his commitment to enhancing global education and research collaboration.
This exciting research and academic engagement is made possible through the leadership and efforts of Dr. Michael A.
