The highlight of the program was the keynote lecture delivered by 𝗗𝗿. 𝗝𝗮𝘆𝘀𝗶 𝗧. 𝗖𝗼𝗿𝗽𝘂𝘇, faculty researcher from the College of Economics, Management, and Development Studies. His talk on ethics in business research emphasized the value of integrity as the bedrock of inclusive and sustainable transformation. Through his insights, participants were reminded that ethical practices are not only essential for academic rigor but also for ensuring that research outcomes remain socially relevant and responsive to community needs.

The activity gathered faculty members in a half-day program that emphasized the importance of ethical practices and intellectual property management in advancing responsible research and innovation.

The first lecture, delivered by 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗼𝗰. 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗳. 𝗟𝗲𝗮 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗮 𝗦. 𝗗𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗼, focused on ethics in research, highlighting the principles of integrity, accountability, and respect that underpin scholarly work. This was followed by the lecture from 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗼𝗰. 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗳. 𝗥𝗼𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗲 𝗖. 𝗠𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗮𝘆𝗮𝗯𝗮𝘀, who discussed intellectual property management in the field of industrial and information technology. Her talk underscored the role of intellectual property in protecting innovation and ensuring that research outputs contribute responsibly to industry and society.

𝗩𝗮𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗮 𝗝𝗼𝘆 𝗩𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗽𝗮𝘇 presented their patented innovation in water management through a water analyzer. Equally commendable is the effort of 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝘁. 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗳. 𝗠𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗱𝘆 𝗡. 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝘇𝗮, who elevated her team’s technology focused on the production of a heritage crop, sigarilyas. Their perseverance and passion highlight the spirit of academic innovation that defines our institution.

Cavite State University improved its global ranking to 217th place and placing within the Top 100 in 16 categories in the 2026 World University Rankings for Innovation (WURI).

WURI is a ranking system that assesses the societal and industry contributions of higher education institutions (HEIs), with focus on their innovative approaches to education, research, and society.

Cavite State University (CvSU) continues to advance its institutional quality assurance initiatives through targeted capacity-building efforts, actively supporting the expansion and strengthening of the University’s Quality Management System (QMS). From April 27 to 30, 2026, representatives from the campus, including Dr. Jenny Beb F. Espineli, Dr. Regene G. Hernandez, Ms. Janine B. Bacosmo, Asst. Prof. Ron Erik C. Frontuna, and Asst. Prof. Robert Jan R. Bayan, participated in an intensive ISO 9001:2015 training program aimed at enhancing competencies in quality management implementation, auditing, and continuous improvement.

The training covered key areas essential to effective QMS implementation, including ISO 9001:2015 QMS Requirements and Documentation, Guidelines for Auditing Management Systems, and Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Formulation. Through these sessions, participants strengthened their skills in developing compliant documentation, conducting systematic internal audits, and identifying operational gaps through evidence-based analysis and corrective action planning.

Upon successful completion of the program, all CvSU-Carmona representatives received certificates of completion in recognition of their commitment and acquired competencies. The training also marked the official inclusion of Dr. Hernandez, Ms. Bacosmo, and Asst. Prof. Frontuna in the CvSU-Carmona QMS Core Team, joining Dr. Espineli and Asst. Prof. Bayan.

With a strengthened core team, CvSU-Carmona advances its commitment to 𝐈mprove quality, 𝐒trengthen systems, and move 𝐎nward toward institutional excellence.

23 𝐀𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐥 2026 — Cavite State University – Carmona Campus, through the Office of Student Affairs and Services (OSAS), in partnership with participating companies from various industries, successfully conducted a job fair for graduating students at the Campus Hostel and Audio-Visual Room.

As soon as the event was announced, students immediately proceeded to the booths of each participating company to begin their professional inquiries. By bringing together soon-to-be graduates and potential employers in one venue, the activity offered immediate opportunities for job applications and initial interviews. This initiative aims to strengthen students’ employability, ensuring a smooth transition into the professional workforce.

The job fair featured opportunities for those interested in technology and electronics through Samsung Electronics-Mechanic Philippines Inc., Amkor Technology Corporation, Microchip Technology Operations (Philippines) Corporation, and ARSTEC Power Philippine, Inc. For those inclined toward manufacturing and packaging, participating companies included Starkson Packaging Inc., Asia Brewery Incorporated – Cabuyao, Savent Corporation, and Total Powerbox Solution Inc. Students exploring automotive and sales engaged with Alpine Motors Corporation, Lovi Motors Corporation, and Motorcentral Sales Corporation. Those who wished to pursue careers in logistics and retail connected with 101 Chain Supply Solutions Inc. and Alfamart. Meanwhile, opportunities in corporate and development were offered by Borland Development Corporation and Sutherland Global Services.

The event concluded with the awarding of certificates to all attendees, marking a successful step toward the professional integration of the graduating class.

𝐂𝐀𝐌𝐏𝐔𝐒 𝐍𝐄𝐖𝐒 | 𝐂𝐯𝐒𝐔-𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐚 𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡 𝐎𝐒𝐀𝐒 𝐇𝐨𝐬𝐭𝐬 𝐋𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐫 𝐄𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐆𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐮𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 2026

22 𝐀𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐥 2026 — The Office of Student Affairs and Services (OSAS) successfully conducted "Labor Education for Graduating Students 2026." The program was attended by all graduating fourth-year students from each department in Cavite State University (CvSU) – Carmona, held at the main building's multi-purpose hall.

The program was divided into two sessions. The morning session hosted students from BS Business Administration (BSBA) and BS Hospitality Management (BSHM). The afternoon session catered to students from BS Computer Science (BSCS), BS Information Technology (BSIT), BS Computer Engineering (BSCpE), Bachelor of Secondary Education (BSE), and BS Industrial Technology (BSIndT).

The program was formally opened with remarks from Asst. Prof. Ron Erik C. Frontuna, head of OSAS, who expressed his appreciation for the program, the guest speakers, students, and young leaders. He also described how prosperous it is to have such learning opportunities in understanding labor laws that will protect the graduating students in their upcoming careers in the workplace.

Dr. Ronlie RJ A. Espeleta, coordinator of Admission and Testing Services, warmly introduced the resource speakers. For the morning session, it was Ms. Karmela Mandrique, Senior Labor and Employment Officer of the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) – Cavite Provincial Office, and for the afternoon seminar, Ms. Zsahara Martinez, Labor and Employment Officer III. They both shared inspiring work experiences and delivered engaging discussions on career guidance in statutory monetary benefits, basic workers’ rights, and general labor standards.

Thereafter, Dr. Jenny Beb F. Espineli, campus administrator, delivered a message highlighting the important knowledge opportunities of the labor seminar for the graduating students.

The program also featured a student intermission performance by Mr. Gernie A. Alao, representative of CvSU – Carmona for the Culture and Arts Pop Solo Competition.

The next segment of the program featured Mr. Leonard V. Paunil, coordinator of Gender and Development (GAD), together with Asst. Prof. Frontuna. They tackled uninvited and unwelcome verbal or physical behavior of a sexual nature, its victims, persons who are liable, types, when sexual harassment happens, and what to do if someone experiences sexual harassment. They also explained the similarities and differences among Republic Act No. 7877 (Anti-Sexual Harassment), Republic Act No. 11313 (Bawal Bastos Law), and Republic Act No. 9262 (VAWC).

The program concluded with closing remarks by Asst. Prof. Joe Marlou A. Opella, coordinator of Job Placement, who expressed his gratitude to the individuals who attended and made the program successful, and commended the OSAS, guest speaker, and all graduating students.
