‎𝙇𝙊𝙊𝙆 | 𝙏𝙃𝙀 𝘾𝙊𝙀𝙎𝘾 𝙎𝙐𝘾𝘾𝙀𝙎𝙎𝙁𝙐𝙇𝙇𝙔 𝘾𝙊𝙈𝙋𝙇𝙀𝙏𝙀𝙎 𝘼𝙎𝘾𝙀𝙉𝘿 2026

‎The College of Engineering Student Council (CoESC) participated in the final day of Together We ASCEND 2026, successfully completing the two-day leadership development and team-building program.
‎
‎Day 2 of the event featured informative discussions on leading successful projects and events, public speaking and effective communication, and ethical leadership. The Learning to Earning Pathways (LEaP) Programme was also introduced, a flagship initiative of the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) that offers courses on essential life skills aimed at providing better employment opportunities for the youth.

‎Team-building activities followed the final lecture, where the student leaders were grouped into five teams to compete in multiple games that tested their coordination, presence of mind, and ability to work effectively as a team.
‎
‎The event culminated with the awarding of certificates and prizes, followed by a closing message from Glaiza MJ P. Camacho, Project Head and USC Vice President for Internal Affairs. The program concluded with a photoshoot.

‎The College of Engineering Student Council (CoESC) successfully completed Day 1 of Together We ASCEND 2026, held at Ibabao Hall, 3rd Floor, the Provincial Capitol, Brgy. Dalakit, Catarman, on Saturday, August 22.
‎
‎Together We ASCEND is a two-day leadership development and team-building program for the different organizations of the University of Eastern Philippines (UEP), namely the UEP University Student Council, College Student Councils, ARCOSAF, and The Pillar.
‎
‎During the first day, student leaders were taught the necessary knowledge in crafting resolutions and position papers, university governance, including codes and policies, and administrative and procurement processes.
‎
‎More than that, ASCEND 2026 strives to strengthen leadership capabilities of student leaders, improve collaboration and teamwork, and build meaningful connections to help develop competent leaders for the benefit of the student body.

‎
‎The courage and sacrifice of Benigno “Ninoy” Aquino Jr. remind us that genuine love for the country is shown through responsible citizenship, standing firmly for truth and justice, protecting democratic values, and actively working toward a better society. His legacy continues to inspire every Filipino, especially the youth, to use their voices, choices, and actions for the common good.

‎In keeping with Republic Act No. 9256, August 21 is set aside as a national non-working holiday to mark the death anniversary of the late Senator Benigno “Ninoy” S. Aquino Jr. Proclamation No. 1006, s. 2025, has made this clear for the year 2026, designating Friday, August 21 as a Special (Non-Working) Day for the observance of Ninoy Aquino Day.

‎Let us honour the life and the sacrifice of Ninoy Aquino for the Filipino people, and with it the duty we have been given to make of our nation something founded on unity, freedom and democracy, a nation he felt was worth the fight.

‎The former officers of the College of Engineering Student Council (CoESC 2025–2026) successfully conducted the Turnover Ceremony at the College of Engineering Building on August 20, 2026, with the theme "Celebrating Commitment & Service."
‎
‎The ceremony served as a significant program for the CoESC, highlighting the accomplishments of the outgoing council while presenting a comprehensive financial report of the previous year's expenditures. It also provided the newly elected officers with valuable insights into the responsibilities and expectations of their upcoming term.
‎
‎Essential documents, including reports and resolutions, were officially turned over to the new student council. More than these records, former President Leawen Jarito and her fellow officers passed on their experiences, knowledge, and heartfelt advice to the incoming leaders. They emphasized that true leadership is not defined by perfection, but by integrity, teamwork, and, above all, remembering the students they are elected to serve.

‎The program concluded with closing remarks from Dr. Rem N. Laodeño, Dean of the College of Engineering, who reaffirmed the faculty's continued commitment to complying with CHED's academic standards. The ceremony ended with a photo opportunity.

Leadership is not defined solely by the ability to lead, but by the willingness to collaborate, listen, learn, and serve with purpose.

As part of our continuing commitment to strengthening student leadership, we are pleased to present ASCEND 2026: Leadership Development and Team Alignment Training, a two-day gathering that brings student leaders and delegates together in pursuit of stronger leadership, meaningful collaboration, and greater team alignment.

This training provides an avenue for participants to enhance their leadership capabilities, strengthen teamwork, exchange perspectives, and develop a shared vision that will guide them in their roles as student leaders and representatives.

More than a leadership training, ASCEND 2026 is an opportunity to build connections, strengthen collective responsibility, and foster a culture of leadership grounded in collaboration, excellence, and service.

Together with the UEP Main USC, UEP Main College Student Councils, UEP PRMC-USC, UEPL-USC, The Pillar, and ARCOSAF, we look forward to seeing you as we ASCEND together!
