SSU Kicks Off Phase 1 Internal Quality Audit to Reinforce Excellence and Continuous Improvement
Samar State University thru the University Quality Assurance Office officially launched its Phase 1 Internal Quality Audit today, May 11, 2026 marking the beginning of a four-day institutional undertaking that will run until May 14. The audit serves as a significant initiative in evaluating and strengthening the effectiveness of the universityโs Quality Management System (QMS).
Anchored on the principles of accountability, continuous improvement, and service excellence, the internal audit underscores the universityโs steadfast commitment to delivering quality education and responsive public service. More than a compliance-driven activity, the IQA is viewed as a meaningful opportunity for institutional growth, process enhancement, and organizational development.
The audit activities are led by competent and dedicated Team Leaders across the universityโs campuses: Engr. H**e C. Uy (Main Campus), Mr. Jake Boy D. Carbonquillo (Mercedes Campus), and Engr. Flory Jean A. Loreรฑo (Paranas Campus). Their leadership plays a crucial role in ensuring that audit processes are conducted objectively, systematically, and constructively.
In his opening message, SSU University President Dr. Redentor S. Palencia emphasized the importance of cultivating a culture grounded in integrity and accountability. โWhat we tolerate becomes our culture,โ Dr. Palencia remarked in his opening message, highlighting the responsibility of every university personnel to model practices worthy of emulation. He also encouraged auditees to remain receptive to observations and recommendations raised during the audit process, stressing that these insights are essential in improving institutional processes and advancing the universityโs overall performance.
