The DEFAS Society of Engineers Inc. invites qualified student members to apply for the DEFAS Undergraduate Thesis Grant 2026—an initiative supporting promising research with the potential to address real-world challenges and create meaningful impact.

💡WE ARE LOOKING FOR BOLD IDEAS AND PRACTICAL SOLUTIONS!

Priority areas include: Engineering and Technology Innovation, Artificial Intelligence and Emerging Technologies, Smart Cities, Renewable Energy, Sustainability and Green Engineering, Climate Resilience, Industry 4.0/5.0, Automation, Robotics, IoT, and Community-Based Engineering Solutions.

Selected student researchers may receive financial assistance for eligible thesis-related expenses, international conference presentation support, and publication subsidy, subject to the official grant guidelines. That’s a wrap on our very first DE: CODE (Collaborative Opportunity for Developing Excellence) tutorial session!

A massive thank you to all the fellow future engineers who joined us this afternoon! We truly appreciate your flexibility and understanding with the sudden venue change so we could stay cool and comfortable. It was incredibly inspiring to see everyone collaborating, learning, and tackling the complex challenges of 𝐂𝐚𝐥𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐮𝐬 𝟏 (𝐌𝐀𝐓𝐇 𝟏) together.
