Two days. Countless questions. One electrifying battle of knowledge. ⚡🔥

The 𝑰𝑰𝑬𝑬 𝑸𝑼𝑰𝒁 𝑺𝑯𝑶𝑾 2026 has officially concluded after two days of challenging questions, quick thinking, teamwork, and intense competition among our aspiring Electrical Engineers!

Guiding our participants throughout the competition was our 𝙌𝙪𝙞𝙯 𝙈𝙖𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙧, 𝙋𝙝𝙞𝙡𝙞𝙥 𝘾𝙖𝙧𝙡 𝙌. 𝙈𝙖𝙣𝙖, an alumnus and recently graduated Cum Laude, whose expertise and enthusiasm brought an exciting spark to every round. 🎓⚡

A new academic year begins, bringing a new chapter for our future Electrical Engineers. 💛⚡

Last 𝘼𝙪𝙜𝙪𝙨𝙩 26, 2026, the BSEE General Orientation 2026 officially welcomed students into another year of learning, growth, and excellence.

The program opened with a warm Welcome Message from newly elected IIEE President 𝘾𝙝𝙧𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙖𝙣 𝘼𝙣𝙙𝙧𝙚𝙬 𝘾𝙤𝙨𝙩𝙤, followed by an Inspirational Message from 𝙋𝙝𝙞𝙡𝙞𝙥 𝘾𝙖𝙧𝙡 𝙌. 𝙈𝙖𝙣𝙖, a recently graduated Cum Laude, who reminded students to stay committed to their dreams despite the challenges ahead. 🎓⚡

Students were also oriented on the Program Outcomes, Grading System, and Classroom Policies by 𝙀𝙣𝙜𝙧. 𝙍𝙖𝙮𝙢𝙖𝙧𝙠 𝘽. 𝘾𝙖𝙗𝙧𝙞𝙜𝙖𝙨, providing guidance on the academic expectations and responsibilities of every BSEE student.

With new goals, new challenges, and new opportunities ahead, let us make this academic year a journey of learning, leadership, and excellence.

| SSU-CoEng’g logs 13 newly licensed electrical engineers

College of Engineering (CoEng’g) welcomes 13 newly licensed electrical engineers following the release of the April 2026 Registered Electrical Engineer Licensure Examination (REELE) results last Tuesday, April 28.

Out of 23 total examinees, 12 first-time takers passed the exam, along with one repeater, bringing the institutional passing rate to 56.52%.

Meanwhile, one first-time taker received a conditional rating, which, according to the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC), means the examinee did not fully pass the board examination but met specific requirements allowing them to retake only certain subject(s).

Nationwide, a total of 3,769 out of 6,556 takers successfully passed the examination, resulting in a national passing rate of 57.49%, according to the PRC.
