The Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) Department proudly recognizes its selected students who successfully attended the 3-day seminar for the MSME Week Celebration 2026, organized by the Catbalogan City Economic Development and Investment Promotions Office (CEDIPO) in collaboration with the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) and the MSMED Council.

The seminar provided participants with valuable learning experiences on entrepreneurship, innovation, digital transformation, business development, access to finance, and industry networking. Through this opportunity, the selected BSBA students gained practical knowledge and insights that will strengthen their entrepreneurial mindset and prepare them to become competent, resilient, and future-ready business professionals.

𝓦𝓮𝓵𝓬𝓸𝓶𝓮 𝓫𝓪𝓬𝓴, 𝓜𝓪𝓻𝓲𝓪𝓷𝓼!

Under the leadership of our Acting BSBA Program Adviser, Mr. Jake C. Ontuca, the BSBA Department was able to host the department orientation. Students were informed about the department and its available programs, policies, and what the department expects academically so that students can have the best and most successful academic experience possible.

We extend our warmest welcome to our BSBA freshmen as they begin a new chapter in their academic journey. May this year be filled with learning, growth, and meaningful experiences that will help shape future success.

The department also held the election of the new set of departmental officers for the S.Y. 2026-2027. This was an opportunity for students to practice leadership as well as their democratic rights when voting for representatives to serve and advocate for the BSBA student body's well-being.

The 𝐁𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐒𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐁𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐀𝐝𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 (𝐁𝐒𝐁𝐀) 𝐅𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐭𝐡-𝐘𝐞𝐚𝐫 𝐂𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐬 successfully concluded their 𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐞𝐞-𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐮𝐚𝐥 𝐫𝐞𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭 from 𝐅𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝟐𝟒 𝐭𝐨 𝟐𝟔, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔, at the 𝐒𝐭. 𝐄𝐥𝐢𝐳𝐚𝐛𝐞𝐭𝐡 𝐑𝐞𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭 𝐇𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐞 in Tigbao, Tacloban City.

This formative event held deep spiritual significance as a milestone in the holistic development of the students, serving as a vital continuation of their spiritual formation journey as a Marians. The retreat offered a sacred space for quiet reflection, facilitating spiritual bonding among the participants, and further solidifying their commitment to living out faith-driven, values-based leadership in both their personal and professional lives. By engaging in guided meditations, communal prayer, and enlightening discussions, the participants were able to enhance their relationship with God and attain greater clarity on how to apply spiritual values in their future roles as business leaders and members of society.

The celebration of BSBA Days 2026 continued with an unforgettable evening during the “𝑮𝒂𝒃𝒊 𝒏𝒈 𝑷𝒂𝒓𝒂𝒏𝒈𝒂𝒍” Testimonial Dinner & Awarding Ceremony held at YOLO Bayside. The event brought together students, faculty, alumni, and guests for a night of recognition, gratitude, and celebration.

One of the highlights of the night was the inspiring testimonial talks delivered by our Alumni Guest Speakers, 𝐇𝐨𝐧. 𝐃𝐞𝐱𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐌. 𝐔𝐲, City Mayor of Catbalogan, and 𝐌𝐫. 𝐍𝐢ñ𝐨 𝐂𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐚𝐫 𝐆𝐨𝐧𝐳𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐬, BSBA Program Adviser. Their messages encouraged students to pursue their goals with dedication, perseverance, and a strong sense of purpose while striving for excellence in their chosen careers.

The evening also featured short messages from our valued OJT partners, with representatives from 𝐏𝐍𝐁, 𝐃𝐓𝐈, and 𝐃𝐁𝐏 sharing their words of support and encouragement for the BSBA students. Their messages highlighted the importance of professionalism, commitment, and continuous learning in preparing for future careers.

The evening continued with the awarding of tokens and certificates to our guest speaker. The program also featured intermission numbers, the awarding of competition winners and the overall champion.

The celebration concluded with a lively party and entertainment, strengthening the bond among BSBA students and creating lasting memories.

The 4th Year BSBA students gathered at the Function Room for a meaningful and memorable Exit Conference—a celebration of their On-the-Job Training journey and accomplishments.

One of the highlights of the event was the Presentation and Sharing of OJT Highlights per group, featuring experiences from ᴅʙᴘ, ᴘɴʙ, ᴅᴛɪ, ᴘʜɪʟʜᴇᴀʟᴛʜ, and ᴄᴄᴅᴏ/ᴄᴘᴇꜱᴏ. Each presentation reflected growth, professionalism, and real-world learning gained from their respective training institutions.

The conference also included Feedback and Evaluation from the OJT Coordinator, Mr. Niño Ceasar Gonzales. Messages of Appreciation and Encouragement, Mr. Jake C. Ontuca, and the Awarding of Certificates of Completion to the 4th year BSBA students marking a significant milestone in their academic journey.

The afternoon session of BSBA Days 2026 was filled with energy and excitement as we officially launched the Academic and Non-Academic Competitions. Anchored on our theme, “𝑳𝒆𝒂𝒅𝒆𝒓𝒔𝒉𝒊𝒑 𝒘𝒊𝒕𝒉 𝑷𝒖𝒓𝒑𝒐𝒔𝒆: 𝑭𝒂𝒊𝒕𝒉-𝑫𝒓𝒊𝒗𝒆𝒏, 𝑬𝒙𝒄𝒆𝒍𝒍𝒆𝒏𝒄𝒆-𝑶𝒓𝒊𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒅, 𝑺𝒆𝒓𝒗𝒊𝒄𝒆-𝑴𝒊𝒏𝒅𝒆𝒅” the activities allowed students to showcase their talents, knowledge, teamwork, and sportsmanship.

• Yell Competition that highlighted creativity, unity, and team spirit.
• Dance Competition that showcased coordination, confidence, and stage presence.
• Telescope Game that strengthened trust and collaboration among team members.
• Garter Relay that emphasized agility, teamwork, and camaraderie through fun challenges.

The day concluded with a meaningful ʀᴇꜰʟᴇᴄᴛɪᴠᴇ ʟᴇᴀʀɴɪɴɢ ꜱᴇꜱꜱɪᴏɴ, where students were given the opportunity to process their experiences, share insights, and connect the day’s activities to our core theme. This moment of reflection reinforced the values of faith, excellence, and service—reminding us that true leadership begins with self-awareness and purpose.
