The Student Volunteer Organization (SVO) held a teaching, feeding, and seminar program at Purok 8, San Fermin, Cauayan City, Isabela, in collaboration with the Psychological Association of the Philippines-Junior Affiliates (PAPJA), Young Educators Club (YEC), Math Enthusiasts, and Young English Advocate Society (YEAS).

The PAPJA held a seminar entitled "It's best to be honest" the President of PAPJA taught the children that they need to be honest at all the time.

We play games like Hep Hep Hooray, Stop Dance, and Tumpakners. Children also draw whatever they want to draw. After the teaching session, students and instructors gave 50 cups of delicious spaghetti to the children.

The outreach program had an impact on the children because they learned how to be honest, developed their creativity, and worked together on the activities that we did.

In addition to enjoying working with the kids, we student teachers are glad to be a part of this activity since it helps foster relationships between the community and the teachers.

VALUES INCULCATION PROGRAM

Dear Parents and Students:

One of the thrusts of this institution is to promote values inculcation as an essential and distinct element of our perpetualite education, thereby contributing towards character formation and citizenship building.

In this regard, the FCL faculty under the College of Arts and Education and Campus Ministers of the Office of the Religious Affairs would like to conduct the Annual Values Inculcation Program for students enrolled in FCL 1, which will be held on November 27-December 1, 2023, at the Tindalo Hall, from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. This activity helps the students learn more about themselves. It also aims to address and resolve their personal life issues in order for them to be the best they can be. . Please be informed that students who failed to attend will be marked incomplete in their FCL1 subject. Students who will be late will not be admitted and will be marked absent as well. On November 13, 2023, UPHS Agham Society participated in the Teaching and Food Giving Activity of Outreach Program Committee, supervised by Ms Patricia Agorilla and Mr. Jan Dominic Corpuz, in Purok 8, San Fermin, Cauayan City.

Student organizations were given a chance to present different topics to the kids. Members of the Agham Society started the presentation with the "Baby Shark" sing-and-dance with the kids. Moreover, the kids enjoyed learning the sea life and creatures such as turtles, jellyfishes, whales, etc. The lesson was concluded by teaching kids to pick up trashes as a part of conservation of the sea life.

After the teaching program, students and instructors distributed a total of 50 cups of delicious champorado to kids and their parents and guardians.

Other organizations who participated were Psychological Association of the Philippines - Junior Affiliates (PAPJA), Young Educators Club (YEC), Math Enthusiasts and Young English Advocate Society (YEAS). Aside from giving service to the community, this activity also gave an opportunity for the different organizations to know and bond with each other.
