𝖫𝖾𝖺𝖽𝗂𝗇𝗀 𝗍𝗁𝖾 𝖥𝗎𝗍𝗎𝗋𝖾 𝗈𝖿 𝖢𝖺𝗋𝖾: 𝖳𝗁𝖾 𝖦𝗋𝖺𝗇𝖽 𝖮𝗉𝖾𝗇𝗂𝗇𝗀 𝗈𝖿 𝖲𝖠𝖬𝖲 𝖶𝖾𝖾𝗄 2026

The University of San Jose-Recoletos (USJ-R) School of Allied Medical Sciences (SAMS) officially transformed into a vibrant hub of camaraderie and academic excellence as it kicked off its highly anticipated SAMS Week. Running from March 16 to March 21, 2026, this year’s celebration adopted the whimsical and energetic theme of "𝖢𝖺𝗇𝖽𝗒 𝖫𝖺𝗇𝖽," symbolizing the diverse, colorful, and rewarding journey of healthcare professionals in training.

The week-long festivities commenced with a grand opening ceremony that underscored the department's commitment to holistic development. Leading the ceremonial rites was our esteemed 𝖣𝖾𝖺𝗇, 𝖣𝗋. 𝖬𝖺𝗋𝗂𝖺 𝖫𝗒𝗋𝗆𝖺 𝖬𝗈𝗋𝖺𝗅𝖾𝗌, alongside Academic Chair 𝖣𝗋. 𝖦𝖾𝗆𝗆𝖺 𝖠𝗆𝖺𝗓𝗈𝗇𝖺 and RLE Coordinator 𝖲𝗂𝗋 𝖩𝖺𝗇𝗎𝗌 𝖥𝗎𝖾𝗋𝗍𝖾𝗌. Their presence set a tone of inspired leadership, emphasizing that while the journey to becoming a healthcare provider is rigorous, it is also filled with moments of sweetness and triumph.

The event’s success was further bolstered by the dedicated guidance of NSC Advisers 𝖬𝗋. 𝖫𝗎𝖼𝗄𝗒 𝖦𝖾𝗇𝗈𝗇 𝖺𝗇𝖽 𝖬𝗋. 𝖩𝗈𝗏𝖾𝗅𝗅𝖾 𝖳𝗋𝖺𝗇𝗀𝗂𝖺. Our frontline mentors—Clinical Instructors 𝖬𝗋. 𝖳𝗈𝗆 𝖪𝖾𝗇𝗇𝖾𝗍𝗁 𝖬𝖺𝗍𝖺𝗌, 𝖬𝗌. 𝖣𝗂𝖽𝖾𝗍𝗁 𝖭𝖺𝖼𝖺𝗋𝗂𝗈, 𝖬𝗌. 𝖣𝗂𝖺𝗇𝖺𝗋𝖺 𝖳𝗈𝗍𝗈𝗒, 𝖬𝗌. 𝖢𝗒𝗋𝖾𝗇𝖾-𝖬𝖺𝗒 𝖢𝗎𝖾𝗋𝗉𝗈, 𝖬𝗌. 𝖸𝗈𝗌𝗁𝗂𝗆𝗂 𝖲𝖺𝗅𝖺𝗓𝖺𝗋, 𝖬𝗋. 𝖲𝗂𝗅𝗏𝖾𝗋𝗂𝗈 𝖳𝖺𝗉𝖺𝗇𝖺𝗇, 𝖺𝗇𝖽 𝖬𝗌. 𝖨𝗓𝗒𝗅 𝖱𝖺𝗆𝗈𝗌 and NSC President 𝖳𝖺𝗌𝗁𝖺 𝖰𝗎𝗂𝖺𝖼𝗁𝗈𝗇, JMTS President 𝖳𝗋𝗂𝗌𝗁𝖺 𝖹𝖺𝗇𝖾 𝖱𝖾𝗀𝗈𝖽𝗈 with NSC and JMTS Officers—were instrumental in fostering an environment where Nursing and Medical Technology students could unite.

Throughout the week, the "Candy Land" theme served as a backdrop for a series of competitive and collaborative activities. From intense academic tilts to spirited team-building exercises, the event successfully bridged the gap between different year levels and disciplines. As we look forward to the rest of the semester, SAMS Week 2026 stands as a testament to the Josenian spirit: resilient, compassionate, and always moving toward a brighter, "sweeter" future in the medical field.

On March 13, 2026, the University of San Jose-Recoletos (USJ-R) School of Allied Medical Sciences took a decisive step toward international excellence by hosting 𝖠𝖭𝖹𝖠𝖲 𝖦𝗅𝗈𝖻𝖺𝗅 𝖤𝖽𝗎𝖼𝖺𝗍𝗂𝗈𝗇 𝖢𝖾𝖻𝗎. This visit marks the beginning of a promising linkage aimed at opening doors for future Japanese students to experience our top-tier nursing education.

The delegation conducted an extensive tour of our state-of-the-art facilities, including the Operating Room, Delivery Room, Emergency Room, ICU, and Skills Laboratory. The itinerary concluded with a visit to our base hospital, Perpetual Succour Hospital, showcasing the rigorous clinical environment where our students excel.

Key university officials spearheaded the dialogue, including 𝖣𝗋. 𝖬𝖺𝗋𝗂𝖺 𝖫𝗒𝗋𝗆𝖺 𝖬𝗈𝗋𝖺𝗅𝖾𝗌 (𝖣𝖾𝖺𝗇 𝗈𝖿 𝖲𝖠𝖬𝖲), 𝖣𝗋. 𝖦𝖾𝗆𝗆𝖺 𝖠𝗆𝖺𝗓𝗈𝗇𝖺 (𝖠𝖼𝖺𝖽𝖾𝗆𝗂𝖼 𝖢𝗁𝖺𝗂𝗋𝗆𝖺𝗇), 𝖺𝗇𝖽 𝖲𝗂𝗋 𝖩𝖺𝗇𝗎𝗌 𝖥𝗎𝖾𝗋𝗍𝖾𝗌 (𝖱𝖫𝖤 𝖢𝗈𝗈𝗋𝖽𝗂𝗇𝖺𝗍𝗈𝗋) alongside with the clinical instructors 𝖬𝗋. 𝖳𝗈𝗆 𝖪𝖾𝗇𝗇𝖾𝗍𝗁 𝖬𝖺𝗍𝖺𝗌, 𝖬𝗌. 𝖣𝗂𝖽𝖾𝗍𝗁 𝖭𝖺𝖼𝖺𝗋𝗂𝗈, 𝖬𝗌. 𝖣𝗂𝖺𝗇𝖺𝗋𝖺 𝖳𝗈𝗍𝗈𝗒, 𝖬𝗌. 𝖢𝗒𝗋𝖾𝗇𝖾-𝖬𝖺𝗒 𝖢𝗎𝖾𝗋𝗉𝗈, 𝖬𝗋. 𝖲𝗂𝗅𝗏𝖾𝗋𝗂𝗈 𝖳𝖺𝗉𝖺𝗇𝖺𝗇 𝖺𝗇𝖽 𝖬𝗌. 𝖨𝗓𝗒𝗅 𝖱𝖺𝗆𝗈𝗌 with Nursing Student Council President 𝖳𝖺𝗌𝗁𝖺 𝖰𝗎𝗂𝖺𝖼𝗁𝗈𝗇, NSC officers Mr. 𝖩𝗈𝗁𝗇 𝖱𝗈𝗆𝖺𝗋 𝖡𝖺𝗍𝗎𝗌𝖻𝖺𝗍𝗎𝗌𝖺𝗇 𝖺𝗇𝖽 𝖬𝗌. 𝖫𝖾𝗑𝗂𝖾 𝖣𝖺𝖼𝖺𝗒𝖺𝗇𝖺. The collaboration was further facilitated by 𝖬𝗋. 𝖳𝗋𝗈𝗒 𝖫𝖾𝗈𝗇𝖺𝗋𝖽𝗈 𝖨𝖨𝖨 of the PAIR Office. This initiative reaffirms USJ-R’s commitment to fostering global partnerships and providing world-class medical training.
