The USJ-R School of Engineering and Architecture officially inked a partnership with ๐๐๐ฆ ๐ง๐ฒ๐ฐ๐ต ๐ฃ๐ต๐ถ๐น๐ถ๐ฝ๐ฝ๐ถ๐ป๐ฒ๐, ๐๐๐ through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on ๐ ๐ฎ๐ ๐ฎ๐ฎ, ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ฎ๐ฒ, at OITC 3, Oakridge Business Park, A.S. Fortuna, Banilad, Mandaue City, Cebu.
The event began with a company presentation by DIS Tech Philippines, followed by the introduction of participants led by Mr. Gamaliel Bas from DIS Tech Philippines and Dr. Dennis Anthony Kilongkilong from USJ-R. The partnership aims to strengthen collaboration in faculty immersion, student internships, and joint research initiatives.
The MOU was officially signed by ๐๐ป๐ด๐ฟ. ๐๐ฟ๐ถ๐๐๐ผ๐๐น๐ฒ ๐ฅ๐ถ๐๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ฎ, Vice President of Global Design, and ๐ ๐ฟ. ๐๐ฎ๐บ๐ฎ๐น๐ถ๐ฒ๐น ๐๐ฎ๐, Human Resources Manager of DIS Tech Philippines, together with ๐๐ฟ. ๐๐ฒ๐ป๐ป๐ถ๐ ๐๐ป๐๐ต๐ผ๐ป๐ ๐๐ถ๐น๐ผ๐ป๐ด๐ธ๐ถ๐น๐ผ๐ป๐ด, Dean of the School of Engineering and Architecture. The agreement signifies both institutionsโ commitment to bridging academic learning and industry practice by providing students and faculty with opportunities for professional growth, innovation, and real-world engineering exposure.
Through this collaboration, students are expected to gain valuable industry experience that will help prepare them for future careers in engineering and technology, while faculty members will benefit from industry immersion and collaborative research initiatives. The partnership also opens opportunities for the development of joint programs, technical training, and knowledge-sharing activities that will further enhance engineering education and strengthen industry-academe relations.
The event concluded with a networking session where representatives from both institutions exchanged ideas and discussed future collaborations aimed at fostering innovation, excellence, and sustainable partnerships in the field of engineering and technology.
