OT is Everywhere!

Occupational Therapists work in diverse settings—but one goal stays the same: helping people participate in meaningful everyday life 💙

In forensic settings, OTs support individuals within the justice system by developing life skills, emotional regulation, and routines that promote safe reintegration into the community.

In humanitarian settings, OTs work with communities affected by disasters, conflict, or displacement—helping restore function, rebuild daily routines, and bring back a sense of dignity and independence.

In school settings, OTs empower students to succeed in learning by improving fine motor skills, supporting sensory needs, and adapting tasks and environments for better participation.

World Immunization Week 💉🌍

Vaccines play a vital role in protecting individuals and communities by training the immune system to fight diseases safely and effectively. From preventing illnesses like hepatitis, measles, and influenza to reducing the severity of infections, immunization helps save lives and promote long-term health 💙

By staying protected, we are able to safely engage in our meaningful occupations, whether it’s going to school, working, caring for loved ones, or participating in daily routines that give our lives purpose and structure 🌿

Understanding how vaccines work, and the different types of immunity they provide empowers us to make informed decisions for ourselves and others.
