On September 9, sd+c supported the Oxford Institute of Technology and Justice in bringing journalists together in Cebu to explore the role AI could play in journalists’ access to justice.

Participants tested ideas, shared feedback, discussed what would make an AI-powered access to justice tool genuinely useful in their work.

Thanks to the Oxford institute of Technology and Justice and the Clooney Foundation for Justice for bringing the workshop to Cebu. We were glad to host the conversation and create space for journalists to share their perspectives.

Good tools make good work possible.

Our partnership with Wacom gives sd+c students access to professional creative tools as they develop their skills in illustration, animation, and visual communication.

These Wacom One displays have been part of the creative toolkit at sd+c, giving our students more ways to draw, design, experiment, and bring ideas to life.

Architecture students, meet your newest canvas: the floor.

Our architecture students took over the space for a 1:1 Café Pop-Up activity—measuring, mapping, sketching, and figuring out how an idea takes shape in the real world.

A little chalk. A lot of measuring. Plenty of coffee energy.

This is what happens when our students get to build, test, and make things happen.

What happens when you let the freshmen loose in Cebu?

Last Saturday, our freshmen creatives went on Panglaguyaw—a cultural tour through some of Cebu’s art, history, and lore.

Because creatives need more than classrooms. They need places, people, and stories to draw from.

A little art. A little history. A little chaos. A lot of Cebu.

Our BFA students spent the afternoon sketching people around campus—capturing posture, movement, gesture, and everything a photo can't teach.

You don't learn observation from a screen. You learn it by looking.
