‎The Golden Summit International Consultancy, Inc. (GSIC) conducted a New Zealand Education Fair on September 19, 2026, at the Seda Ayala Center Cebu in the Cebu Business Park.
‎
‎The education fair aimed to celebrate the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between New Zealand and the Philippines by promoting global education and migration opportunities. It featured approximately 16 universities, institutions, and colleges from New Zealand, offering one-on-one education guidance sessions to students.
‎
‎Organized by GSIC—a duly registered company with 21 years of experience specializing in immigration services and officially appointed by ENZ-Education New Zealand, the fair covered various education programs, residency and citizenship pathways, and the overall migration process.
‎
‎Cebu Eastern College (CEC) was among the local educational institutions that participated in the event.
‎
‎The program featured a talk led by Mr. Joel Miranda Angon, a Cebu-New Zealand Full Licensed Immigration Adviser, who provided insights into the migration process.
‎
‎The education fair underscored the strengthening collaboration in education and the growing interest among Filipino students in pursuing international academic and career opportunities in New Zealand.

‎Cebu Eastern College (CEC) held the PNP Oplan Balik Skwela Program midway through the semester at the CEC Auditorium on September 19, 2026, with NSTP-CWTS students from Echo to Foxtrot companies in attendance.
‎
‎The event featured PSSg Cristy Am-is and PSSg Alexander Zapanta of Carbon Police Station 5. Pst. Wendy Manigos was also present.
‎
‎Am-is discussed Republic Act No. 11313, the Safe Spaces Act or “Bawal Bastos Law,” and Republic Act No. 10627, the Anti-Bullying Act of 2013. She reminded attendees to respect one another, promote safety in schools and public spaces, and report harassment or bullying to authorities.
‎
‎Zapanta discussed public safety and emergency preparedness, including tips to prevent shootings and actions to take during emergencies.

‎The Cebu Eastern College (CEC) Senior High School (SHS) Department culminated its Science Month celebration with the theme “Timelapse; Accentuating the Eras of Science Clubbing” at the CEC Upper Gymnasium on Sept. 18, 2026.
‎
‎The event was held in two sessions—Grade 11 in the morning and Grade 12 in the afternoon.
‎
‎In his opening remarks, Mr. Johnny Lee Sy, Board of Trustee, said the theme highlights science’s milestones and the collaboration behind them. “Science was never built by one person alone. It was built by us,” he said.
‎
‎Students showcased their creativity through the Inven-shion Runway, designing clothing from recycled materials. Two Grade 11 teams also competed in the Rhythm Through Time Dance Competition.
‎
‎SHS Principal Prof. Charis R. Aribal said the celebration honored not only the activities but also the knowledge, creativity, and curiosity gained along the way. “Science teaches us to ask questions, explore possibilities, solve problems, and understand the world around us,” she said.

The Cebu Eastern College, Inc. (CEC) College of Information Technology held its 2nd Pinning and Candle Lighting Ceremony on September 18, 2026, at the CEC Auditorium, with the theme “𝗔𝗻 𝗢𝗮𝘁𝗵 𝘁𝗼 𝗨𝗽𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗱 𝗘𝘅𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗗𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗜𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝗻 𝗜𝗻𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆,” bringing students, faculty members, administrators, parents, and guests together to mark another milestone in the students’ journey toward becoming IT professionals.

The ceremony highlighted the students’ commitment to responsibility, professionalism, and continuous growth as they prepare to enter the ever-evolving field of Information Technology.

In his opening remarks, Board of Trustee, Mr. Johnny Lee Sy emphasized the significance of the ceremony and reminded the students of the meaning behind the symbols they received.

As the ceremony drew to a close, College of Information Technology Instructor Ms. En Catarungan encouraged the students to look beyond expectations and view failure as part of the path toward innovation.

‎The Pre-Elementary Department of Cebu Eastern College held its Parenting Seminar Through Play on September 18, 2026, at the Kinder Social Hall. Themed “Creative Strategies for Deeper Connection and Positive Communication,” the event gathered parents and learners from Nursery, Kinder 1, and Kinder 2.
‎
‎Kinder 1 Adviser Isaac Yancy Mayol opened the sessions with “The Power of Play in Parenting,” describing play as the child’s primary language of learning and citing the local tradition of balay-balay. A parent-child obstacle course followed, focusing on teamwork over competition.
‎
‎Nursery Adviser Mari Kirstein S. Opoc led “From ‘No!’ to ‘Let’s Talk!,’” covering active listening, offering choices, and empathy. Children mirrored their parents’ actions in a play lab, followed by a Q&A.
‎
‎Kinder 2 Adviser Careen I. Dinaguit closed the sessions with “Teamwork Makes the Dream Work,” on family collaboration. Six parent-child teams built towers from tape and straws; Group 6 won for the tallest structure.
‎
‎The seminar ended with a reflection, a commitment activity, and sharing of insights. Certificates were distributed to participating families before a group photo.

The Cebu Eastern College (CEC) Baby Blue Dragons made a strong response following their opening defeat by storming past the San Roque College de Cebu (SRCDC) Greyhounds, 53–22, in the Cebu Schools Athletic Foundation Inc. (CESAFI) 15-Under Basketball Tournament on September 13, 2026, at the University of the Visayas (UV) Main Campus Gym.

The Baby Blue Dragons opened their campaign with a 44–73 loss to the University of San Jose–Recoletus (USJ-R) Jaguar Cubs. However, they responded against the SRCDC Greyhounds, taking a 32–13 lead at halftime and limiting the Greyhounds to just nine points in the second half as they pulled away for the 31-point victory.

Jake Delima led the Baby Blue Dragons’ scoring charge, delivering 13 points and two assists.

With the win, the CEC Baby Blue Dragons now have a 1–1 win-loss record.
