WORK SUSPENSION ON SEPTEMBER 28 STARTING 1 PM

Following MC No. 136 from the Office of the President of the Philippines and Memo. No. TGT 26-25 from UP OVPA, work in UP Cebu shall be suspended from 1:00 PM to enable UP Cebu employees to go home and celebrate “Kainang Pamilya Mahalaga” Day with their families.

Personnel of offices delivering essential services, including university health services, security services, and disaster response and crisis management, shall continue operations on a skeleton workforce.

Faculty members may adopt asynchronous learning at their discretion. If asynchronous tasks are given, the submission deadline must not fall on September 28 to allow students to celebrate the occasion with their families.

Regular work operations shall resume on Tuesday, September 29, 2026.

NO FACE-TO-FACE CLASSES (SEPTEMBER 22)

Following the Cebu City LGU announcement, face-to-face classes at UP Cebu are suspended tomorrow, September 22, due to hazardous air quality.

Classes shall shift to modular and alternative learning modes. Heads of administrative offices and units are likewise granted discretion to adopt flexible work arrangements.

Please refer to Memo No. CLM 2025-033: General Framework on Class Modality and Work Arrangement for more information.
