The University of Cebu Law Student Body extends its heartfelt condolences and prayers on the passing of (Ret.) Judge Meinrado Paredes, one of the professors whose wisdom, dedication, and unwavering commitment to the legal education helped shape generations of University of Cebu lawyers.

Judge Paredes advocated for the pursuit of justice, continuously guided by integrity, fairness, and compassion. In the classroom, he generously shared not only his knowledge of the law but also the values that define the legal profession, reminding his students that it begins with character and an unyielding resolution to justice.

This compassion echoed among many members of the legal community and continues to live on through the many lawyers and future lawyers whose lives he touched.

Judge Paredes, you will remain a lasting source of inspiration for the University of Cebu School of Law and the legal profession you served with honor.

The University of Cebu School of Law deeply mourns the passing of (Ret.) Judge Meinrado “Menmen” Paredes, one of the pioneering professors of UC Law and a beloved member of our academic community.

A respected jurist, dedicated educator, and principled gentleman, Judge Paredes devoted his life to the pursuit of justice and the formation of future lawyers. Through his scholarship, integrity, and unwavering commitment to his students, he left an indelible mark on generations of the UC Law family.

His legacy lives on in the countless students he mentored; the legal minds he helped shape; the lives he touched; the values he imparted; and the principles he faithfully upheld.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to his family, loved ones, colleagues, former students, and friends. May they find comfort in the enduring impact of his life and service.

After surviving finals, everyone definitely deserved a night like this.

From the fits to the food, the games, and all the fun in between, it was nice seeing everyone finally relaxin', enjoyin', and just havin' a good time after weeks of stress and puyat.

For one night, it was less about deadlines and digests, and more about laughter, chika galore, and making memories that made law school feel a little lighter.

To everyone who came last April 19, 2026, thank you for bringing such fun and happy energy to the night. We hope this became one of your favorite ways to end School Year 2025–2026.
