The LRAC Subject Reference Area will undergo roof framing retrofitting works from June to August 2026 following the recommendation of the Engineering and Technical Team to address urgent structural concerns identified during recent technical inspections. These improvements are necessary to ensure the safety of library users, personnel, and collections.
To maintain library services and provide continuous access to study spaces during the retrofitting period, the following temporary arrangements will be implemented:

โข The Library Activity Center and Collaborative Room will serve as temporary reading and study areas starting on June 23, 2026.
โข Students, faculty, and staff are encouraged to utilize these spaces for reading and studying while portions of the library are being used for the temporary relocation of collections, furniture, and equipment.
โข Library users are advised to use the LRAC Main Exit Door near the Learning Patio as the temporary entrance during this period.

โข The Library Activity Center and Collaborative Room will be unavailable for reservations and facility bookings from June to August 2026.
โข All existing bookings, meetings, seminars, trainings, and other scheduled activities in these venues during the affected period will be cancelled or suspended.
These temporary measures are necessary to ensure the safety of all stakeholders while minimizing disruptions to teaching, learning, research, and library services.
