From business ideas to physical prototypes! ๐Ÿ› ๏ธ๐Ÿ’ก

On July 31, 2026, FabLab UP Cebu welcomed 41 graduating MSMEs from the KMME-MME Graduation Ceremony and 10th Year Celebration of the Department of Trade and Industry Region VII.

The visit gave the entrepreneurs an opportunity to explore our fabrication facilities and learn how design thinking, prototyping, and digital fabrication can be integrated into their businesses. The session also featured a talk on โ€œDesign Thinking: Turning Your Product Ideas into Physical Prototypes,โ€ highlighting how design and making can help transform ideas into tangible products and opportunities for growth.

Weโ€™re grateful to DTI Region VII for bringing this meaningful group of entrepreneurs to FabLab and for creating opportunities to connect local businesses with design, technology, and fabrication.

Together with The Frame, participants explored how to turn concepts into usable digital experiences using Lovable.Dev AIโ€”guided by Chaz Grant Borromeo.

It was a night of building, testing, and rethinking how AI fits into the creative processโ€”not just as a tool, but as a collaborator.
