The CNU Unified Comelec is an independent constitutional body created by the CNU Supreme Student Government borne out to serve the students and protect their right to suffrage. The commission's principal role is to enforce and administer all rules and regulations relative to the conduct of elections as well as settling election issues and controversies. In the pursuit of truth, the commission aims to determine the true will of the students for all government authority emanates from them.

The Cebu Normal University Unified Commission on Elections successfully facilitated the election of the Federation of the Supreme Student Councils (FSSC) Chairmanship for Academic Year 2026-2027 last May 30, 2026 held at the Administrative Building Conference Hall.

Supreme Student Council (SSC) Presidents from the Cebu Normal University Main, Balamban, and Medellin campuses convened to take part in this democratic process, reaffirming the spirit of collaboration, representation, and student empowerment. Their participation served as a testament to democractic participation. Highlighting a shared commitment to strengthening student governance, representation, and inter-campus collaboration.

Following the conclusion of the electoral proceedings, CNU Main SSC President Kurt Justin Jacalan was elected as the new FSSC Chairperson, entrusted with the responsibility of representing and championing the interests of the student body across all campuses.

As leadership transitions from one student leader to the next, may this new mandate be guided by transparency, accountability, and a steadfast commitment to service.

On May 23, 2026, the newly elected student leaders for A.Y. 2026โ€“2027 of Cebu Normal University successfully took their oath of office during the ๐—œ๐—ป๐—ฑ๐˜‚๐—ฐ๐˜๐—ถ๐—ผ๐—ป ๐—–๐—ฒ๐—ฟ๐—ฒ๐—บ๐—ผ๐—ป๐˜† held at the Integrated Laboratory School (ILS) grounds. Among those inducted were the newly appointed En Banc, Staffers, and Officers of the CNU U-COMELEC for this academic year, who now formally assume the responsibility of upholding integrity, accountability, and service within the student electoral body.

In his speech, CNU U-COMELEC Chairperson Mico Opusa highlighted the importance of active and service-driven leadership. He reminded the newly inducted officers that leadership is not merely a title to hold or flaunt, but a responsibility to embody through action, service, and commitment.

KASIKAS CONSTITUTION PLEBISCITE

Pursuant to Resolution No. 54 s. 2025 enacted by the KASIKAS Legislative Branch titled: A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE CEBU NORMAL UNIVERSITY - MAIN CAMPUS UNIFIED COMMISSION ON ELECTION TO CONDUCT A PLEBESCITE AND THE APPROPRIATIONS THEREOF.

On February 24, 2026, the CNU U-COMELEC received the aforementioned resolution along with additional prerequisites to hold a referendum. After careful consideration, the commission granted the council seven (7) days to disseminate information.

Today, April 22, 2026, the plebiscite will start punctually at 7:00 AM and end at 11:59 PM. Under the CCAS, the corresponding Bloc Chairpersons will distribute online ballots.

1. The Ballot forms (google forms) will be sent through the respective bloc chairs through the council.
2. Ballot forms are open from 7:00 AM to 11:59 PM ONLY.
