𝐂𝐈𝐓-𝐔 𝐄𝐃𝐒 | 𝐕𝐨𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐓𝐫𝐮𝐭𝐡: 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡 𝐂𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐜 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐜𝐢𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐩

Last April 11, 2026, the 𝐂𝐈𝐓-𝐔 𝐄𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝐃𝐞𝐛𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐒𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐭𝐲 successfully conducted the 𝐕𝐨𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐓𝐫𝐮𝐭𝐡: 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡 𝐂𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐜 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐜𝐢𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐩, a revitalized initiative formerly known as 𝐓𝐈𝐍𝐆𝐎𝐆: 𝐁𝐨𝐬𝐞𝐬 𝐧𝐠 𝐊𝐚𝐛𝐚𝐭𝐚𝐚𝐧.

Carrying forward its mission to empower the youth, the workshop provided high school students with a platform to develop essential communication skills, focusing on 𝐞𝐱𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐞𝐨𝐮𝐬 and 𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐭𝐮 𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠.

The event featured two engaging speakers: 𝐑𝐨𝐝𝐠𝐞 𝐃𝐮𝐦𝐚𝐠𝐮𝐢𝐭, 𝐓𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐞𝐫, 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡 𝐂𝐥𝐚𝐢𝐦 𝐔𝐏𝐂, and 𝐏𝐫𝐢𝐦𝐞 𝐌𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐀𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐥𝐚 𝐉𝐚𝐡𝐳𝐢𝐞𝐥 𝐁. 𝐄𝐧𝐜𝐚𝐛𝐨, who shared valuable insights on structuring speeches, effective delivery, and overcoming stage fright.

With interactive activities, including hands-on speech exercises and collaborative group work, participants were able to apply their learning in a supportive environment. The workshop fostered confidence and encouraged students to showcase their voices, strengthening 𝐜𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐜 𝐚𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬, 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩, and 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐮𝐚𝐥 𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 among the youth.

Through initiatives like this, the organization continues its commitment to shaping confident communicators and future leaders who are ready to make their voices heard.

Happening on 𝗔𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗹 𝟭𝟭, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 | 𝟴:𝟬𝟬 𝗔𝗠 – 𝟱:𝟬𝟬 𝗣𝗠, this one-day workshop will be held within the 𝗖𝗜𝗧-𝗨 𝗖𝗮𝗺𝗽𝘂𝘀 𝗚𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝘀 (exact venue to be announced). Formerly known as TINGOG: Boses ng Kabataan, this renewed initiative continues its mission of empowering the youth through effective communication and civic engagement.

The 𝗩𝗼𝗶𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗧𝗿𝘂𝘁𝗵 workshop aims to equip high school students with essential public speaking skills, focusing on extemporaneous and impromptu speaking. With the guidance of inspiring speakers, participants will learn how to structure their ideas, deliver speeches with confidence, and overcome stage fright. Through interactive activities, hands-on practice, and group exercises, this workshop creates a supportive space where students can grow, express themselves, and develop into confident, civic-minded individuals.

On September 30, 2025, a strong earthquake with a magnitude of 6.9 followed by several aftershocks struck Northern Cebu, particularly Bogo City and nearby areas, leaving many families displaced and in urgent need of assistance. The United Architects of the Philippines Student Auxiliary – CIT University Chapter is now accepting both in-kind and monetary donations to help ease their burden. Your support, no matter how small, will greatly contribute to the recovery and well-being of our fellow Cebuanos.

We call on the CIT-U Community to unite in support of the recent Earthquake Magnitude 6.9. The unfortunate tragedy has placed Cebuano families and loved ones in urgent need of support as they recover from the damage.

All donation will be intended to support the Cebu Provincial Capitol.

𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐎𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐏𝐢𝐳𝐳𝐚 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧

The Elite Debate Society recently held a small get-together where our Prime Minister, Angela Jahziel B. Encabo, gave a brief and insightful talk about the basics of debate.

After the short discussion, everyone simply enjoyed good company and conversation over pizzas — creating a relaxed space to meet fellow applicants and members outside the usual recruitment activities.

More than an event, it was a chance to start building friendships and a sense of community within EDS.
