WELCOME TO YOUR NEW HOME AWAY FROM HOME, COBRAS!

The university grounds were buzzing with energy as Southwestern University PHINMA hosted the Grand Freshmen Meetup! This is to give our newest freshmen the warmest welcome possible and help them transition smoothly into college life.

Our freshies hit the streets to get familiar with their new surroundings, discovering the best spots to shop, essential landmarks, and, of course, scouting out their future favorite cafe hangouts!

In the afternoon, the formal welcome began! Our freshmen got to meet their respective college deans! They also got a taste of campus life by exploring our diverse, interest-based student organizations.

A huge shoutout to the College of IT's AWS Student Builder Group - SWU! They brought the ultimate fun vibes with their interactive photobooth, capturing the bright smiles and unforgettable first memories of our incoming students.

We are so excited to watch you all grow, learn, and thrive here. Welcome to the SWU PHINMA family!

GRAND CHAMPIONS! TEAM UMASENSO TAKES THE CROWN!

We are incredibly proud to announce that Team UmaSenso has been named the GRAND CHAMPION of the Cebu SolutionsFest 2026 Student Track!

After securing their spot in the Top 3, the team took the big stage today at the Waterfront during the CBM 2026 Technology & Innovation Forum. They delivered a flawless pitch to a room packed with provincial LGU decision-makers, and industry leaders.

Team UmaSenso’s winning solution, Tabo, is transforming the agricultural sector. Functioning as a dedicated social media platform and marketplace, it links farmers directly to consumers, cutting out unnecessary middlemen entirely. Through Tabo, farmers can transparently post their prices, creating an honest, open, and more profitable ecosystem for both producers and buyers.

Not only did they blow the judges away to bring home the championship, but they also opened massive doors for real-world impact, piloting, and investment!

Help us flood the comments with love, congratulations, and virtual high-fives for our champions!
