CIT University - Commission on Elections The CIT UNIVERSITY Commission on Elections (COMELEC) shall govern and regulate all election matters of the officers of the CIT Supreme Student Government.

In addition to the powers and functions conferred upon it by the CIT SSG Constitution, the Commission shall ensure fair, orderly and honest election; pass and promulgate implementing rules other that those within its Implementing Rules and Regulations. Exercise all other powers necessary to administer and ensure a fair, orderly and hones conduct of elections;

All decisions, rules, regulation and

resolutions shall be valid upon approval by the majority of the Commissioners. Signed copies of which shall be posted in conspicuous places and given to all interested parties.

The CIT-U SSG Commission on Elections, acting through the Board of Canvassers, has officially promulgated ๐‘๐ž๐ฌ๐จ๐ฅ๐ฎ๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง ๐๐จ. ๐ŸŽ๐ŸŽ๐Ÿ’, ๐ฌ. ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ“๐Ÿ๐Ÿ”. This resolution addresses the unprecedented outcome of the May 15 General Elections and outlines our immediate next steps to ensure the sovereign will of the student body is upheld.

Here are the key declarations from the resolution:

๐•๐€๐‹๐ˆ๐ƒ๐€๐“๐ˆ๐Ž๐ & ๐๐‘๐Ž๐‚๐‹๐€๐Œ๐€๐“๐ˆ๐Ž๐: The May 15 General Elections are deemed valid and successful for all positions EXCEPT the President, Secretary General, and Treasurer General. The duly elected candidates for the validly concluded races will be officially proclaimed and shall assume their respective offices.

๐๐€๐‘๐“๐ˆ๐€๐‹ ๐…๐€๐ˆ๐‹๐”๐‘๐„ ๐Ž๐… ๐„๐‹๐„๐‚๐“๐ˆ๐Ž๐๐’: A "Failure to Elect" is formally declared for the positions of President, Secretary General, and Treasurer General. In faithful adherence to the CIT-U SSG Constitution, the Commission honors the majority abstention as the prevailing voice of the participating electorate, rendering these three positions officially vacant at the start of the term.

๐‚๐€๐‹๐‹ ๐…๐Ž๐‘ ๐’๐๐„๐‚๐ˆ๐€๐‹ ๐„๐‹๐„๐‚๐“๐ˆ๐Ž๐๐’: To fill these evident vacancies, a Special Election will be conducted. The official calendar of activities will be released in a separate announcement.
