There is something special about being part of something bigger than yourself—where every effort and quiet moment carries meaning, anchored in the community we serve.

Gratitude fills what words cannot fully express—for the trust given, the support felt, and the shared commitment that made every initiative possible. This is the gratitude we carry as we close this chapter.

From the 𝘾𝙤𝙢𝙢𝙞𝙩𝙩𝙚𝙚 𝙤𝙣 𝙂𝙚𝙣𝙙𝙚𝙧 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝘿𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙡𝙤𝙥𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩, thank you for being part of 𝙂𝙪𝙣𝙞𝙩𝙖 𝙎𝙚𝙧𝙮𝙚 and 𝙇𝙞𝙬𝙖𝙣𝙖𝙜 𝙎𝙚𝙧𝙮𝙚 this year.

Some stories are not meant to stay in one moment. They stay with the people who connected with them, learned from them, and carried them forward. 🫂

Through every chapter, these series became small spaces for reflection, understanding, and conversations that stayed with us even after each release. Some reminded us to speak up, some reminded us to listen, and others simply reminded us that kindness and understanding still matter.

And now, as this chapter comes to a close, we hope its light continues to reach beyond the pages. Because endings are not always goodbyes—sometimes, they are just the start of another story waiting to be told.🌷

Sexual assault and violence transcend all identities, orientations, and spaces. Regardless of gender identity or sexual orientation, every individual deserves bodily autonomy, dignity, and unwavering respect.

Consent is not optional, it is fundamental. It must be freely given, informed, enthusiastic, and continuous. Silence is not consent. Fear is not consent. Manipulation is not consent.

This is not merely a personal issue; it is a societal responsibility. Through education, accountability, and collective action, we must challenge cultures of violence, victim-blaming, and abuse in all forms. 🛑

𝙂𝙪𝙣𝙞𝙩𝙖 𝙎𝙚𝙧𝙮𝙚 reminds that no one, regardless of who they are or who they love, should ever experience sexual violence. And though April, Sexual Assault Awareness Month, may come to an end, this fight does not because awareness, justice, and survivor support must continue far beyond a single month. Sexual violence knows no season and neither should our commitment to ending it.

After careful deliberation and the exploration of multiple proposals and alternatives, the Cebu Normal University Main Campus – Supreme Student Council, together with the seven College Councils, has decided to 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗻𝘂𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿-𝗲𝗻𝗱 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁. While this was not an easy decision, it reflects the Councils' firm commitment to upholding student welfare and fiscal responsibility. Given the current circumstances, the required resource expenditure outweighs the potential impact of the event.

The Councils recognize the deep sentimental value of the year-end event, especially for graduating students, freshmen, and the wider student community. Traditionally aligned with the Intramurals season, shifts in the academic calendar and existing limitations led to the consideration of a year-end alternative. Despite these challenges, the Councils remained intent on finding a way to meaningfully celebrate the academic year. However, the final decision was anchored on four critical considerations: resources, manpower, timeline, and the broader crisis affecting students. The limited timeframe posed constraints on delivering a quality and inclusive event, while the ongoing rise in fuel costs has significantly increased transportation expenses for many students. Coupled with recent fee hikes and the growing cost of daily necessities, these financial pressures place an added burden on students and their families. As a result, participation in large-scale events becomes less accessible, particularly for those already struggling to manage their academic and personal expenses.

The Councils assure the student body that every possible avenue was explored in pursuit of this initiative. However, in weighing all factors, it became clear that proceeding would compromise both the quality of the event and the responsible use of limited resources. At this time, choosing not to push through is not a matter of inability, but of accountability.

The Councils remain steadfast in their commitment to genuine student representation, ensuring that all decisions uphold not only the general welfare of the Normalite community but also remain responsive to the broader realities and needs of the Filipino people.

On 𝗔𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗹 𝟮, 𝙒𝙤𝙧𝙡𝙙 𝘼𝙪𝙩𝙞𝙨𝙢 𝘿𝙖𝙮 invites us to look beyond awareness and sit with a deeper question. Are we truly creating spaces where people feel understood, or just spaces where they are expected to adjust?

Autism is not something to fix. It is something to understand. Behind every label is a person with their own way of thinking, feeling, and seeing the world. That difference makes our communities stronger. 🫂

𝙂𝙪𝙣𝙞𝙩𝙖 𝙎𝙚𝙧𝙮𝙚 reminds us that real inclusion takes effort. It means listening with intention, making room without conditions, and choosing empathy even when it is uncomfortable. Because in the end, it is not about changing them. It is about changing how we show up for one another.
