The University of the Philippines Cebu clarifies that it has fully complied with its contractual obligations for its Sinulog 2026 participation. Under the arrangement, the engagement, management, and compensation of performers and production personnel were the responsibility of Bally J Events and Production Talent Management Services.
For this reason, concerns regarding talent fees, personnel arrangements, or related claims fall primarily under the contractor’s responsibility. UP Cebu, however, will not treat this as a reason to look away.
The University has already contacted the contractor and instructed it to address the concerns raised in the post.
To ensure that specific concerns are properly documented and acted upon, UP Cebu will receive verified claims related to this matter through the Office of the Chancellor ([email protected]) until 11 June 2026. Individuals with specific claims may submit relevant details to the University, including their full name, role in the contingent, nature of the claim, amount involved if applicable, person or office they coordinated with, and any supporting communication or documentation, such as a written agreement, message, receipt, or other communication with the contractor, if available.
UP Cebu will consolidate the claims received, refer them to the contractor for clarification and appropriate action, and request the contractor to provide a written response to the concerned individuals or to the University within a reasonable period but no later than 22 June 2026.
