Hello Visayanians! The College of Education invites you to its first National Research Conference 2025! With the theme: Transforming Education: Bridging Innovation, Equity, and Excellence for a Global Future. This will be held in the University of the Visayas on August 14-15, 2025. We are encouraging students, educators, researchers, and thought leaders from across the country to join and explore the cutting-edge research and practical solutions to reimagine education for a more inclusive and globally competitive future.

Call for papers and poster presentation are in store for interested individual. You may submit your papers to [email protected] especially if your papers belonged to the following topics:
• Innovative curriculum design and development
• Instructional strategies and pedagogical approaches

The University of the Visayas proudly joins the National Privacy Commission (NPC) in celebrating Privacy Awareness Week 2025. We recognize the importance of this annual celebration in strengthening data privacy awareness, promoting responsible data processing, and upholding the fundamental right to privacy for all individuals.

With the theme, “Global Privacy Matters: Navigating a Borderless Digital World and Expanding New Professional Horizons,” we stand with the NPC in underscoring the need to address privacy challenges in the Philippines at a time where data moves swiftly across borders. Hence, the protection of personal data becomes a shared responsibility across nations, organizations, and individuals.

As a personal information controller, we vow to ensure the highest standards of data protection in all aspects of our operations. We uphold transparency, accountability, and security in handling personal data entrusted to us, in full compliance with the Data Privacy Act of 2012.

Now happening: Assessments and Course Redesign Training

The session is the second installment of the series of Learning and Development programs that aim to enhance the competencies of our Faculty members in helping our students exercise analytical and creative thinking in providing strategic solutions and informed decisions to tackle discipline-related problems by improving our Faculty Members’ capabilities in designing assessment tasks that facilitate higher order thinking skills.

The training session is the first of the two-month series of learning programs that aim to raise the teaching competencies of our faculty members in developing the talents and potentials of our students towards the practice of professions to be responsive to the changing local and global industry requirements.

The Program is part of the Research Training Series for the University’s initiative in capacitating our Teaching and Non-Teaching employees with Research-related skills and competencies.

Facilitated and organized by the College of Business Administration and Graduate School of Business, the training aims to produce publishable research papers authored by our employees.
