In view of the Public Advisory issued by the Office of the City Mayor of Cebu City regarding the suspension of face-to-face classes due to unhealthy air quality conditions, all regular face-to-face classes in all levels at MHAM College of Medicine and MHAM College are hereby SUSPENDED on Tuesday, September 22, 2026.

All students shall shift to online, modular, or asynchronous learning, as determined by their respective Dean and faculty members.

EXAMINATIONS WILL PROCEED AS SCHEDULED

Despite the suspension of face-to-face classes, all examinations for September 22, 2026, shall proceed as scheduled. This is necessary due to the limited time available in the academic calendar and to avoid further disruption to the scheduled academic activities.

Students are advised to coordinate with their respective faculty members regarding the schedule, modality, and other instructions for their examinations.

Students with hospital, clinical, internship, or other required clinical duties shall continue to report for their scheduled duties, unless otherwise directed by their respective training institution.

The Administration will continue to monitor official advisories from the Cebu City Government and relevant authorities and will issue further instructions as necessary.

In view of the Public Advisory issued by the Office of the City Mayor of Cebu City regarding unhealthy air quality conditions, all regular face-to-face classes in all levels at MHAM College of Medicine and MHAM Colleges are hereby SUSPENDED on Monday, September 21, 2026.

The suspension is due to the AQI of 248 (Acutely Unhealthy) recorded by DENR-EMB Region 7 at the Metro Cebu Station.

EXEMPTION: HOSPITAL AND CLINICAL DUTIES

The suspension does not apply to students with scheduled hospital, clinical, internship, or required clinical training duties, including Senior Clerks, Nursing students, Medical Technology students, Medicine students, and students from other programs assigned to hospitals, laboratories, clinics, or other approved training areas.

Students concerned shall report for their scheduled duties as assigned, unless their respective hospital or clinical training institution issues a separate directive.

HEALTH AND SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

Students traveling to and from clinical areas are advised to:

1. Wear an N95 mask when exposed to outdoor air.
2. Minimize unnecessary outdoor exposure.
3. Follow all hospital health, safety, and infection-control protocols.
4. Comply with additional protective measures required by their training institution.
5. Report any significant respiratory symptoms or health concerns to their clinical supervisor or hospital authority.

FOR STUDENTS NOT ON CLINICAL DUTY

All other students shall observe the suspension and shift to online, modular, or asynchronous learning, as determined by their respective Dean and faculty members.

The Administration will continue to monitor official advisories from the Cebu City Government and DENR-EMB Region 7 and will issue further instructions as necessary.
