As part of the Celebration of Day of the Filipino Seafarer, the Maritime Industry Authority cordially invites seafarers who are first-time holders of the Certificate of Competency (CoC) as Master Mariner, Chief Engineer Officer, Chief Mate, Second Engineer Officer, Officer-In-Charge of a Navigational Watch and Officer-In-Charge of an Engineering Watch to the simultaneous Mass Oath-Taking Ceremony to be held in Manila, Iloilo City, Cebu City, and Davao City on 25 June 2022.

GOOD NEWS!

Fees for two (2) Maritime Industry Authority (MARINA) certifications will be slashed effective today, 16 May 2022, through the MARINA Memorandum Circular SC-2022-02.

The MARINA would also like to remind applicant seafarers of the following details:

a. Previously filed applications that are still being subjected to evaluation, may it be under Online or Final Evaluation status and other pending applications, that require resubmission of documents, once approved, shall be charged based on the existing (old) fees.

b. Seafarers who wanted to avail of the new fees are advised to cancel their existing applications and re-apply. This will however entail a slight delay as the application will pass through the same process.

The registration period is until 10 June 2022, 5:00 PM or until it has reached the maximum capacity.

The confirmation and other details of the Ceremony shall be provided by the Examination and Assessment Division (EAD), STCW Office through the registered e-mail address of the seafarer.

Visayanians! This isn't an April Fools prank...

It's been two dreading years since the pandemic drifted us apart and we are now slowly embracing the changes of the times and gradually welcome everyone inside the edifices of our campuses.

As we are slowly opening the University to possibilities of having face-to-face class instruction, in the coming days, we will be posting announcements regarding the pilot-run of the said setup.
