📌 SCHOLARSHIP OPEN FOR APPLICATION
1st Semester, AY 2026–2027

🎓 SUN LIFE FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP
Available Slots: 8
* 6 slots – 1st Year
* 1 slot – 2nd Year
* 1 slot – 3rd Year

💰 Scholarship Benefits
Book Allowance: ₱4,000.00 per semester
Living Allowance: ₱5,000/month × 5 months = ₱25,000.00
Total: ₱29,000.00 per semester

📌 Eligibility
Applicants must:
1. Be a 1st–3rd year student enrolled in BS Biology, BS Mathematics, BS Statistics, or BS Computer Science;
2. Have a GWA of at least 2.0, or an HS average grade of at least 86% for 1st-year students;
3. Be a permanent resident of Visayas or Mindanao;
4. Not be a beneficiary of any other scholarship or educational grant;
5. Not have been the subject of any disciplinary action;
6. Be financially in need, with an annual gross family income from all sources not exceeding ₱500,000.00.

3. Parent’s Income Tax Return (BIR Form 2316) for the year 2025 and other proof of income, as applicable:
* Certificate of Employment and Compensation
* Contract with Employer
* Pension Voucher
* OFW Contract
* Applicant’s ITR and/or W-2, if employed
* Spouse’s ITR and/or W-2, if married
* Income statement, if income is derived from business
* If unemployed or exempted from filing, submit BIR Certificate of Exemption and notarized
Affidavit of Source of Income, indicate approximate income earned.
4. Form 5 for 1st Semester, AY 2026–2027 (official copy)
5. Certificate of Good Moral Character
*For 2nd year students and up: secure the request form from the
Office of Student Affairs (OSA)
*For 1st-year students: Certificate of Good Moral Character from
their previous high school
6. Copy of grades for the previous semester/year;
7. Three (3) letters of recommendation from former
professors/teachers (no specific format required);

UP Cebu Office of Student Affairs With UP Cebu University Student Council and Unified Student Organizations - UNISO opened the week of welcome from Aug. 10-14, 2026 with fun, colour and a festival mood featuring booths from various student organizations !!!

Please visit each booth and learn more about the nature and objectives of each student organization depicting a certain social issue. The student org booth tries to make their own mga "pakulo", lots of fun and interactive games, karaoke or selling trinkets, stickers and clothes, flowers, etc. By Aug.14 (FRI) , the best booth,
the best in the parade, other special awards will be given to the deserving SO on the UNISO culminating day.

SLAS APPLICATION ADVISORY

The Office of Student Affairs (OSA) would like to inform all students that the uploading of student data to the SLAS portal is being done by batch, based on the list of students who have been officially enrolled and whose records have been made available.

Likewise, UP email accounts are also released by batch, following the student's enrollment date. Students who completed their enrollment at a later date may still be waiting for their UP email account to be generated and activated.

If you are currently unable to access the SLAS portal because you have not yet received your UP email or your data has not yet been uploaded, there is no need to worry.

Please note the following:

1. The SLAS application period will remain open for one week, allowing students sufficient time to submit their applications once their UP email becomes available and their records have been uploaded.

2. SLAS applications are NOT processed on a first-come, first-served basis. Your chances of applying for a possible assistance will not be affected even if you apply later within the application period.

3. Should there be students who still have not received their UP email before the application period ends, an extension will be provided specifically for students affected by UP email-related concerns.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as the enrollment is still ongoing, UP email is still generated, and data uploading processes are completed.

Further announcements will be issued as needed.

ASYNCHRONOUS CLASSES: AUGUST 10-14, 2026

As UP Cebu commences Academic Year 2026–2027, all classes shall adopt an asynchronous mode of learning from August 10 to 14, pursuant to Memo. No. CLM 2026-042. This arrangement is in support of Freshies' Orientation Week and the General Orientation/Re-Orientation of all personnel.

Incoming students and their parents are also encouraged to take note of the following orientation schedules, all of which will be held at the Performing Arts Hall (PAH):
