Assistant Professor II Cyril John C. Nagal of the College of Agriculture at USTP Claveria secured the 3rd Best Research Presenter award at the 2026 International Extension Symposium and Technology Forum (IESTF), held at Cebu Technological University โ€“ Main Campus from May 20โ€“22, 2026. Organized by the PAEPI Central Visayas Chapter, the event highlighted Nagalโ€™s study, "KwentaBasa: A Literacy and Numeracy Extension Program for School-Aged Children in a Rural Philippine Community." Co-authored with Nancy T. Rubin, Lorivie A. Ruflo, and Arnel S. Travero, the project drives real educational progress and brings the university's outreach efforts to the international stage.
