The Charles Fuller Baker Memorial Hall once again became a vibrant gathering space for the UPLB community as it served as the Athlete’s Lounge for the held from 10-14 March, with the theme of, "Masaya. Magkasama."
Throughout the week, athletes and spectators came together inside the historic hall to rest, recharge, and watch the live streaming of e-games matches, creating a lively atmosphere of camaraderie and shared excitement.
Tables were set up to welcome visitors looking for a place to relax between games, while booths from local MSMEs offered food and refreshments. Among the participating vendors were Drive and Grind Cafe, Right Wipes, and student entrepreneurs from the DAME Entrep program, giving visitors convenient access to snacks and drinks while also supporting campus-based enterprises.
The closing ceremony of Palarong UPLB, hosted by the UPLB College of Human Ecology, was likewise held at Baker Hall. The event further highlighted the heritage building’s continuing role as a hub for gatherings and celebrations within the University.
We congratulate all the winners of this year’s Palarong UPLB and commend the organizers and partners for staging a successful event while continuing to support and activate UPLB’s cultural heritage spaces.
