Prior to the affiliation of the Laguna State Polytechnic University – Los Baños Campus ROTC Unit to the Laguna State Polytechnic University – Sta. The Laguna State Polytechnic University – Los Baños Campus, then known as Los Baños College of Fisheries, finally established its own rotc unit as affiliated in 2007 under the leadership of C/Lt Col Michael De Juras, who is known as the ROTC Unit’s Pioneer Corps Commander. In the second semester of school year 2013-2014, the LSPU-LB ROTC Unit has finally declared its full independence by being an activated unit pursuant to Section 3, General Orders Number 37, ghq, afp dtd 09 january 2014 through the efforts of Major Ryan N Severo (MI) PA, the Former Commandant, and the present commandant and staff: Major Ryan N Severo (MI) PA, Commandant, Cpt ALLAN ROSS C LOPEZ (INF) PA, Assistant Commandant, Tsg Leo C Alvarado (AGS) PA, Administrative NCO, Sgt Mary Rose R Padilla (RES) PA, Sgt John Voltaire S Montecillo (RES) PA, Sgt Mae Ann P Andrade (RES) PA, Sgt Bebelyn G Catarinin (RES) PA as Graduate Military Assistants, effective 20 December 2013. The victory of the l LSPU-LB ROTC Unit during the PAATI/7th Laguna Rotc Festival was the result of the relentless guidance and support of the LSPU-LB ROTC Unit training staff and the exceptional demonstration of Outstanding Leadership of Corps of Cadet Officers headed by C/COL RIZZA JOY S ESPLANA 1CL, as Corps Commander. Today, the LSPU-LB ROTC Unit is training cadets to become more of what the previous cadets were, making each cadet an exceptional product of the ROTC. Hoping to keep the 2nd PERPETUAL TROPHY for their own, may God Bless the Laguna State Polytechnic University of Los Baños, the Philippine Army, the Armed Forces of the Philippines and the Republic of the Philippines.
