World Water Day 2025 draws our attention to the critical issue of 'Glacier Preservation.' Glaciers play a pivotal role in global water cycles, sustaining ecosystems and human societies providing water for drinking, agriculture, and industry, influencing regional and global climates. However, recent events caused an alarming rate of glacial melt, leading to altered water availability, increased risks of natural disasters like floods and landslides, and long-term sea-level rise.

This year’s World Water Day reiterates the need for sustainable practices that mitigate climate change and conserve these vital water resources. It emphasizes the need for collaborative efforts among scientists, policymakers, and the public to ensure water security for future generations.
