The Agriculture Department of Davao de Oro State College โ Main Campus officially welcomed students from 1st to 4th year through its Department Orientation for Academic Year 2026โ2027, setting the stage for a new academic year filled with learning, growth, and opportunities.
Duly represented by Domy Untalan, Maโam Jonalyn Tordillo delivered the opening remarks, emphasizing that agriculture is not simply โagriculture lang.โ She highlighted how the field extends far beyond farming, carrying a significant role in food security, livelihoods, sustainability, and the nationโs overall development.
Meanwhile, Sir Jupite Mark U. Banayag emphasized the importance of the curriculum in guiding students throughout their academic journey, encouraging them to understand how their courses contribute to their development as future agricultural professionals. Maโam Honey Jyl Ducusin also presented the Agriculture Department faculty members and their respective courses, giving students a clearer view of the academic path ahead.
Students from 1st to 4th year actively participated in the presentations and discussions, reflecting their enthusiasm as they embark on another year of academic pursuits. With new lessons to cultivate and new milestones to harvest, the Agriculture Department welcomes everyone to A.Y. 2026โ2027โa new season to learn, grow, and thrive.
