HONORING HEROES: FROM THE PAST TO THE PRESENT 🇵🇭

A Tribute from the Dinagat Cordova Eagles Club 🦅

National Heroes Day reminds us that heroism is not confined to the pages of history. It lives in the courage, sacrifices, principles, and selfless service of Filipinos who helped shape our nation and in the everyday acts of people who continue to serve and uplift others today.

We honor the great heroes of our past who stood for freedom, dignity, justice, and national identity. Their struggles and sacrifices paved the way for the Philippines we know today. Their names may be remembered in monuments and history books, but their greatest legacy is the spirit they left behind: the courage to stand for what is right and the willingness to sacrifice for the greater good.

Yet, heroes are also among us today. They are the teachers who patiently shape the minds of the next generation, healthcare workers who care for others, farmers and fishermen who put food on our tables, soldiers and police officers who protect communities, public servants who dedicate themselves to the people, workers who keep our economy moving, volunteers who extend helping hands, parents who make countless sacrifices for their families, and ordinary citizens who choose kindness, compassion, honesty, and service even when no one is watching.

The Dinagat Cordova Eagles Club proudly honors every hero, then and now, who has made a unique and meaningful contribution to our country.

We believe that heroism comes in many forms. Some heroes changed history through extraordinary courage; others change lives through simple acts of service.

What unites them is the heart to serve, the courage to act, and the desire to leave something better for those who come after them.

As Eagles, we carry the same spirit of Brotherhood, Service, and Love for Country. May the sacrifices of our national heroes inspire us, while the modern heroes around us remind us that we, too, have the power to make a difference.

DCEC’S 8TH GMM: SERVICE THAT REACHES THE TABLE 🌿

Dinagat Cordova Eagles Club turns another General Membership Meeting into an opportunity to serve.

Today, the Dinagat Cordova Eagles Club (DCEC) held its 8th General Membership Meeting (GMM) for 2026, bringing together members not only for organizational updates and fellowship, but also for a meaningful act of community service.

The gathering became more than a regular club activity as DCEC extended assistance through a rice distribution benefiting 120 recipient families and individuals who continue to face the everyday challenge of putting food on the table.

For many families, a simple sack or pack of rice represents more than food. It means another meal shared with loved ones, a little relief from daily expenses, and a reminder that the community cares.

Food is a basic necessity, and helping provide it to less fortunate families is one of the most direct ways an organization can make a difference. Through this initiative, DCEC demonstrated that service is not measured by how grand an activity is, but by how deeply it touches the lives of those who need it most.

DCEC extends its heartfelt gratitude to Koi’s and Alta Cordova for graciously providing the venue and supporting the successful conduct of the GMM and rice distribution activity.

Special appreciation is also given to Kuya Mike of MDEC for his support and presence in making the activity more meaningful.

As the Dinagat Cordova Eagles Club continues its journey in 2026, the club remains committed to assisting the community in whatever way it can through fellowship, cooperation, and most importantly, service above self.

Today, 120 recipients received rice. But beyond the food, DCEC shared something equally important: hope, compassion, and the assurance that no family should feel forgotten. 🫂

CVR7 at 22nd REXECOM: Moving Forward with Purpose

The Central Visayas Region 7 (CVR7) continues to strengthen its commitment to leadership, unity, and service as it convenes its 22nd REXECOM.

The gathering brought together the region’s clubs, with each presenting their respective reports, accomplishments, concerns, and ongoing initiatives.

Beyond reviewing what has been achieved, the meeting served as an opportunity to assess the region’s direction and ensure that every club remains aligned with the organization’s vision of fellowship and meaningful community service.

As the year moves toward its closing chapters, updates and year-end projects are now taking effect, turning plans into concrete action.

Among the significant developments on the horizon is the upcoming regionalization, a direction that had previously been approved during the term of Kuya Gov. Jake Cabalan.

What was once a vision carried through earlier leadership is now moving closer to realization. With preparations underway, the regionalization is expected to be realized before 2027, marking another important milestone in CVR7’s continuing development.

Further details and the implementation framework will be announced as preparations progress.

The 22nd REXECOM also looked ahead, with planning for upcoming elections and community service initiatives forming part of the discussions.

These efforts reflect the organization’s commitment not only to responsible leadership and continuity but also to its core mission of serving communities.

As CVR7 prepares to welcome a new chapter, the message is clear: leadership must be accompanied by action, unity must be strengthened through cooperation, and service must remain at the heart of every endeavor.

The road toward 2027 is already taking shape, and CVR7 is moving forward together. 🦅🦅🦅
