Today, July 30, 2026, the Bachelor of Arts in Peace and Development (ABPD) Department under the College of Arts and Sciences successfully conducted the "Research Excellence Seminar 2026: Strengthening Research Skills for 4th Year Students" at the University Library, Cotabato State University.

The seminar was spearheaded by ABPD Chairperson Ust. Abdulmonaim S. Ebrahim, PhD, together with Ma'am Neneng A. Salipada, MAPD, Ma'am Melanie Tan, PhD, and Ma'am Norhana Pendi, MAPD, whose unwavering commitment continues to empower students through quality research education.

We were also honored to have our distinguished guest speakers, Ma'am Jeahan Haron, RSW, MSSW, and Ma'am Shayne S. Toรฑacao, MiSDS, who generously shared their knowledge, expertise, and valuable insights in strengthening the research capabilities of our graduating AB Peace and Development students.

This seminar serves as an important step in equipping our future peacebuilders with the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to produce quality research that contributes to peace, development, and positive social transformation.

The Peace and Development Students Organization (PDSO) took part in the ๐๐€๐‘๐Œ๐Œ ๐Œ๐ฎ๐ฅ๐ญ๐ข๐ฌ๐ญ๐š๐ค๐ž๐ก๐จ๐ฅ๐๐ž๐ซ๐ฌ ๐’๐ข๐ฆ๐ฎ๐ฅ๐ญ๐š๐ง๐ž๐จ๐ฎ๐ฌ ๐Œ๐š๐ง๐ ๐ซ๐จ๐ฏ๐ž ๐๐ฅ๐š๐ง๐ญ๐ข๐ง๐  โ€“ ๐˜๐ž๐š๐ซ ๐Ÿ held on ๐‘ฑ๐’–๐’๐’š 26, 2026. Together with different stakeholders, volunteers, and partner organizations, the PDSO joined hands in an initiative dedicated to caring for our environment and protecting our coastal ecosystems.

The activity served as a meaningful reminder that environmental protection is a shared responsibility. By actively participating in mangrove planting, the PDSO helped promote awareness among the youth and contribute to the preservation of marine life, strengthening of coastal communities, and creation of a more sustainable future for the Bangsamoro. ๐ŸŒฑ๐Ÿ’š

As young leaders, we believe that every action, no matter how small, can create a lasting impact when done together. Through service, unity, and environmental stewardship, we continue to make a difference for our communities and for generations to come.

July 15, 2026 โ€” The fourth-year students of the Bachelor of Arts in Peace and Development (AB Peace and Development) successfully conducted a preparatory meeting for Thesis Writing 2, marking another significant step toward the completion of their undergraduate research.

The meeting was led by the AB Peace and Development Chairperson, Ust. Abdulmonaim S. Ebrahim, PhD, together with PDSO adviserโ€”Ma'am Neneng A. Salipada, MAPD, Ma'am Melanie Tan, PhD, and Ma'am Norhana Pendi, MAPD.

During the meeting, the faculty members discussed the guidelines, expectations, research timelines, and important preparations for Thesis Writing 2. They also provided valuable insights and encouragement to help students successfully accomplish their research projects while maintaining academic excellence and integrity.

The AB Peace and Development family remains committed to equipping future peacebuilders with the knowledge, skills, and guidance necessary to produce meaningful research that contributes to peacebuilding and sustainable development.

A warm welcome to all our freshmen and transferees! ๐Ÿ’™

Todayโ€™s orientation marked the beginning of a new chapter filled with learning, new experiences, and meaningful connections. Through informative discussions, interactive activities, and fun games, everyone had the opportunity to get to know one another, learn more about the school community, and enjoy a welcoming environment.
