Reinforcing its commitment to advancing quality education beyond the classroom, the Department of Engineering and Information and Communications Technology (DEICT) of STI College Cotabato conducted a Digital Literacy Seminar and Workshop for the faculty members of Looy Elementary School on July 18, 2026.
The seminar equipped participating teachers with essential digital skills aimed at enhancing classroom instruction through the effective use of technology. Topics included the basic operational management of commonly used educational devices such as Smart TVs and laptops, as well as practical techniques for maximizing the features of various digital applications that support interactive and engaging learning experiences.
Beyond familiarizing educators with technology, the workshop emphasized how these tools can be integrated into everyday teaching practices to create more dynamic, collaborative, and student-centered classrooms.
The initiative forms part of STI College Cotabato's continuing mission to promote digital literacy and innovation in education. By extending its expertise to partner schools and local educators, the institution continues to contribute to strengthening teaching competencies and preparing schools for the demands of an increasingly digital learning environment.
Through outreach programs such as this, STI College Cotabato remains steadfast in its commitment to educational excellenceโnot only within its campus, but also in empowering communities and educators beyond its walls.
