Some stigma hides in the everyday phrases we’ve come to normalize. Through Swipe to Reframe, we challenge these harmful statements and turn them into language rooted in empathy and support. Even small changes in the way we speak can help create safer spaces where people feel seen, heard, and understood.

More good days begin when we choose kindness, understanding, and community, together.

💭 What’s one phrase you’ve heard that felt hurtful, and what would you have preferred to hear instead?

Supporting someone in distress is not about having the perfect words, it’s about showing up with empathy, patience, and care. Sometimes, the most meaningful support is simply reminding someone that they don’t have to go through things alone.

Together, small acts of understanding and compassion can help create more good days for everyone.

Words matter—especially when someone is struggling.
Instead of dismissing their feelings, how can we respond with empathy and understanding?

If you were in that situation, what would you say to:

1.) The person who made that comment?
2.) Your friend who’s hurting?

Your voice could be the comfort someone needs. We all must speak with kindness.

Mental health stigma often shows itself in subtle but harmful ways—through social pressure, dismissive language, stereotypes, and misconceptions.

These beliefs can prevent individuals from seeking help and create barriers to understanding and support. In reality, people experiencing mental health challenges are not “weak” or “dangerous”—they are individuals who deserve empathy, respect, and care. Furthermore, Mental health stigma thrives in fear and misinformation—but through education, compassion, and open conversations, we can create a space where seeking help is seen as strength, not weakness.

Reach out, speak up, and support one another—because no one should face their struggles alone.

Healing looks different for everyone, but no one has to go through it alone. As we mark Mental Health Awareness Month, we invite you to reflect and share: What helps you heal?

You may do this by sharing a photo of a person, a habit, a place, a hobby, or a simple moment that brings you comfort. At the same time, we encourage you to leave a short message for someone who may need it today 💬— whether it is a word of encouragement, reassurance, or support for those who might be silently struggling.

By sharing what helps us cope and recover, and by offering messages of hope to others, we remind one another that healing begins within a supportive community 🤝

“Every shared experience creates connection, and through connection, healing begins.” ✨

Stigma grows in silence. Healing begins in community. 🌱

Mental health is an essential part of our overall well-being—it affects how we think, feel, and connect with others. Yet, many people still hesitate to seek help due to fear of judgment and stigma. More than a billion people worldwide experience mental health conditions, and one of the most powerful ways to cope and heal is through connection. Strong relationships help us feel supported, valued, and understood.

🤝 Check in on someone
💬 Start a conversation
💚 Be a safe space

Sometimes, simply being there for one another can make all the difference.
