As the final day of Daluyon Camp 2026 continued following the presentations from each LSC and UWO, SSC Pres. Robert presented the tally of scores from yesterdayโs โGrand Line Journey,โ where Marahuyo Crew earned the highest number of points, followed by Mapagpalaya and Maalab Crews, respectively.
Following the exciting atmosphere, he then discussed the meaning behind this yearโs camp icons: the wave and the compass. He explained that the wave represents the three core concepts of the camp โ Siak, Sikami, and Sangkarakelan โ while the compass represents the Moral Compass of student leaders.
In his talk, he emphasized that student leaders are guided by one purpose and one goal, and that leadership cannot be done alone because it requires the help and support of others. He also highlighted the importance of values, explaining that values are the things we give importance, worth, and priority to. He then asked reflective questions such as, โWho are you when no one is watching?โ and โWhat is the most important day of this camp?โ He explained that the most important day is โDay 5 and beyondโ because it is the time when participants apply everything they learned from the camp and create an impact on others and the community.
After his talk, the crew members were given time to open their booklets and reflect on their personal values and realizations.
The program then proceeded with the awarding of the groups with the most berries, the campโs currency system, where Mapagpalaya Crew earned the highest number of berries. This was followed by the awarding of certificates to all participants in recognition of their participation throughout the camp.
Before the camp formally came to a close, a button pin featuring the wave and the moral compass was introduced. The button pin was placed on each participantโs left side as a symbol of becoming part of the PHINMA UPang crew, representing companionship and collaboration among the student leaders.
Afterwards, the participants were given the opportunity to get to know one another more by roaming around the plenary hall and signing each otherโs booklets as a remembrance of the friendships and connections formed throughout the camp.
Before the program officially ended, representatives from each crew shared their favorite moments from the camp, along with their experiences, reflections, and insights. Their heartfelt answers and realizations reflected how deeply they understood the purpose and essence of Daluyon Camp 2026.
Thank you so much, Student Leaders! ๐ซ
