𝗢𝗣𝗘𝗡 𝗦𝗛𝗘𝗟𝗙 + (𝗘𝗫𝗧𝗘𝗡𝗗𝗘𝗗 𝗟𝗜𝗕𝗥𝗔𝗥𝗬 𝗛𝗢𝗨𝗥𝗦) 𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗘𝗫𝗔𝗠 𝗖𝗔𝗥𝗘 𝗣𝗔𝗡𝗧𝗥𝗬 𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗚𝗥𝗔𝗠

As part of its commitment to student welfare, the PHINMA University of Pangasinan Supreme Student Council successfufully ovided support to students during the 2nd Periodical Examinations through the Exam Care Pantry Program at the Fidel V. Ramos Building and Student Plaza, and the Open Shelf+, which offered extended library hours.

These initiatives aimed to provide accessible refreshments and additional study time, helping students prepare for their examinations in a more supportive learning environment.

𝗥𝗘𝗠𝗘𝗠𝗕𝗘𝗥𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗛𝗜𝗦𝗧𝗢𝗥𝗬, 𝗥𝗘𝗙𝗟𝗘𝗖𝗧𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗢𝗡 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗣𝗥𝗘𝗦𝗘𝗡𝗧

On this 𝟱𝟰𝘁𝗵 𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗱𝗲𝗰𝗹𝗮𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗟𝗮𝘄, the Supreme Student Council of PHINMA University of Pangasinan joins the nation in remembering one of the most consequential periods in Philippine history.

On 𝗦𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟮𝟭, 𝟭𝟵𝟳𝟮, Ferdinand Emmanuel E. Marcos Sr. issued Proclamation No. 1081 declaring Martial Law. The declaration was publicly announced on September 23, while arrests and other measures followed in the succeeding days. The period that followed profoundly affected Philippine political, social, and civic life.

Commemoration is more than remembering a date. It is 𝗮𝗻 𝗼𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗱𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲𝘀, 𝗱𝗼𝗰𝘂𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀, 𝘃𝗼𝗶𝗰𝗲𝘀, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗵𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆—and to recognize the importance of preserving historical records for future generations.

As students and young Filipinos, may we continue to approach history with curiosity, critical thinking, and honesty. May we listen to the stories of those who lived through it, examine historical evidence, and carry the lessons of the past into our understanding of the present.
