📢 𝗔𝗗𝗩𝗜𝗦𝗢𝗥𝗬 | 𝗥𝗘𝗦𝗨𝗠𝗣𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗢𝗙 𝗙𝗔𝗖𝗘-𝗧𝗢-𝗙𝗔𝗖𝗘 𝗖𝗟𝗔𝗦𝗦𝗘𝗦

In accordance with Executive Order No. 114, Series of 2026, issued by the City Government of Danao, the suspension of classes has been lifted.

Face-to-face classes at CTU Danao Campus will resume on Thursday, September 24, 2026.

Students and personnel are advised to limit strenuous outdoor activities while air quality continues to recover. Extra care is also encouraged for individuals with respiratory or cardiovascular conditions.

Please be guided accordingly.

The suspension of classes in all levels, both public and private schools in Danao City, has been LIFTED under Executive Order No. 114, Series of 2026.

IN-PERSON CLASSES RESUME on Thursday, September 24, 2026z

The decision follows the improvement in air quality , as recorded by DENR-EMB Region VII, improved to 97 which is within the “Fair” category.

⚠️ Important reminders:

📍Schools are advised to limit strenuous outdoor activities while air quality continues to recover.

📍Extra attention should be given to students and school personnel with respiratory or cardiovascular conditions.

📍Air quality will continue to be monitored by the CDRRMO and DENR-EMB Region VII.

DANAO CITY, Cebu - Cebu Technological University (CTU) Danao Campus and Cebu Normal University (CNU) formalized an academic partnership through a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) aimed at expanding access to learning resources and strengthening inter-institutional collaboration between CTU Danao and CNU-Catmon Campus.

📢 𝗔𝗗𝗩𝗜𝗦𝗢𝗥𝗬 | 𝗖𝗢𝗡𝗧𝗜𝗡𝗨𝗘𝗗 𝗦𝗨𝗦𝗣𝗘𝗡𝗦𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗢𝗙 𝗙𝗔𝗖𝗘-𝗧𝗢-𝗙𝗔𝗖𝗘 𝗖𝗟𝗔𝗦𝗦𝗘𝗦

In accordance with the latest advisory of the City Government of Danao, face-to-face classes at Cebu Technological University–Danao Campus shall remain SUSPENDED.

To ensure the continuity of learning, classes shall be conducted through Alternative Learning Modalities (ALM). Faculty members and students are advised to coordinate regarding the appropriate learning activities and arrangements for their respective classes.

Everyone is encouraged to remain updated through the official communication channels of the University and the City Government of Danao.

Please be guided accordingly.

KLASE UPDATE: SUSPENDING THE HOLDING OF CLASSES IN ALL LEVELS IN ALL SCHOOLS IN DANAO CITY, CEBU, DUE TO UNHEALTHY AIR QUALITY, UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE


All classes in all levels— whether in public or private educational institutions— within Danao City, Cebu, are hereby suspended effective immediately and until further notice, in view of the prevailing unhealthy air quality conditions.

As of September 21, 2026, the Department of Environment and Natural Resources – Environmental Management Bureau, Region VII (DENR-EMB-7), recorded elevated Air Quality Index (AQI) levels for PM2.5 at its Metro Cebu monitoring station, with readings reaching up to 296— attributed to transboundary haze from forest fires in Kalimantan, Indonesia, carried by the prevailing Southwest Monsoon (Habagat) — posing serious health risks to the general public, particularly schoolchildren and other vulnerable sectors.

The continued holding of classes poses a direct and serious health risk to schoolchildren and school personnel who would otherwise be exposed to hazardous air conditions.

📍Alternative Learning Modalities. School administrators are directed to coordinate with the Department of Education, Schools Division of Danao City, for the immediate adoption of alternative learning modalities, including but not limited to online and modular learning, for the duration of the suspension.

📍Urging all residents, particularly schoolchildren, senior citizens, and persons with respiratory or cardiovascular conditions, to remain indoors, keep windows and doors closed, use appropriate respiratory protective equipment when going outdoors, and avoid all strenuous outdoor activities.

📍 This Executive Order shall take effect immediately upon signing and shall remain in force UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE from the Office of the City Mayor.

Schools shall shift to an appropriate Alternative Delivery Mode (ADM) as determined by their respective school heads.

The study presents the development of a smart wearable assistive device that integrates object detection and text-to-speech functionality using Raspberry Pi. The device is designed to provide auditory information that can assist visually impaired individuals in recognizing objects and accessing text in their surroundings.
