𝗦𝗪𝗢𝗥𝗡 𝗧𝗢 𝗦𝗘𝗥𝗩𝗘

Dedicated and zealous, the newly elected and appointed Supreme Student Government (SSG) officers, Federation of Student Organizations (FSO) Presidents, Legislative officers, and members of the Judiciary Department for the Academic Year 2026-2027 officially took their oath on September 4, 2026, at the JRMSU Audio-Visual Hall (AVH).

The solemn ceremony marked the formal transition of student leadership for the upcoming academic year. Former SSG President Hon. Jeffrey Carbonilla was represented during the turnover and oath-taking by Former SSG Vice President Hon. Arah Arellano, who passed the Key of Responsibilities to the newly inaugurated SSG President, Hon. Prince Sopia S. Pao.

The event was graced by key university officials, including University President Dr. Maria Rio Abdon Naguit and Vice President for Academic Affairs (VPAA) Dr. Jay Telen. Their presence highlighted the administration's strong support for student governance and youth empowerment within the institution.

As the newly inducted leaders step into their roles, a sense of optimism and excitement fills the campus. Bound by their shared commitment and sworn duty, the student government stands ready to turn promises into progress, paving the way for a vibrant, empowered, and forward-looking university community in the year ahead.

𝗔𝗥𝗖𝗛𝗜𝗩𝗘𝗦 | 𝗝𝗼𝗶𝗻𝘁 𝗕𝘂𝗱𝗴𝗲𝘁 𝗖𝗮𝗹𝗹 & 𝗣𝗣𝗠𝗣 𝗠𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴

Last August 31, 2026, at the Audio Visual Hall (AVH) the Supreme Student Government of JRMSU Main Campus spearheaded the Joint Budget Call and PPMP Making, a vital initiative for student leaders and organizations.

Together with Dr. Jay D. Telen, Vice President for Academic Affairs, they ensured strong collaboration between student governance and academic leadership.

Participants from the Federation of Student Organizations (FSO), Departmental Student Governments (SGs), and other allied student bodies were tasked to learn the proper process of creating PPMPs (Project Procurement Management Plans), guided by instructions from the Budget Office and the BAC Secretariat. This training emphasized accountability, transparency, and the importance of aligning projects with institutional priorities.

Through this collective effort, JRMSU continues to strengthen participatory governance, empowering students to take part in responsible financial planning and project management.

On August 28, 2026, the newly elected college representatives of the Supreme Student Government gathered for the 𝗕𝗹𝘂𝗲𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲: 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻-𝗠𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗿, carrying the theme, “𝗖𝗿𝗮𝗳𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀, 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗶𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗴𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗚𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲.”

Initiated to strengthen the participants’ knowledge of the Legislative Department and sharpen their skills in resolution-making, the seminar served as a meaningful space for learning, collaboration, and growth.

Through the sessions, participants were empowered to transform student concerns into well-crafted resolutions, develop solutions that create meaningful impact, and contribute to a stronger foundation of student governance at Jose Rizal Memorial State University-Main Campus

We were honored to learn from our resource speaker, Mr. James C. Bahian, former Legislative Speaker of the 16th Congress, whose valuable insights and experiences guided the participants in understanding the art and responsibility of crafting impactful resolutions.

The seminar was further enriched by a special message from Dr. Jay D. Telen, Vice President for Academic Affairs, who inspired the participants to uphold excellence, integrity, and accountability in serving the student body.

From learning the process to understanding the purpose behind every resolution, we take another step toward becoming more capable, responsive, and responsible student leaders.

Together, we continue to build a culture of accountability, transparency, and genuine service, one resolution at a time. ✍️
