The College of Computer Studies (CCS) successfully concluded its Departmental Orientation 2026 on August 13, 2026, at Laboratory 63A.

The orientation provided an opportunity for our CCS students to gain valuable information about the department, academic programs, policies, activities, and the exciting opportunities that await them this academic year. More than just an orientation, it was a meaningful gathering that brought our students and faculty together as one CCS family. 🤝💙

We extend our heartfelt appreciation to our CCS Dean, faculty members, and all CCS students whose presence, participation, and support made this event a success. Your enthusiasm and cooperation truly made this a memorable beginning to another year of learning and growth.

With profound sorrow and heartfelt sympathy, the College of Computer Studies joins the entire Bicol College community in mourning the passing of our beloved College President, Dr. Maria Luz T. Macasinag.

Dr. Macasinag was more than a remarkable leader—she was a compassionate mentor, a visionary educator, and a steadfast source of inspiration. Through her unwavering dedication to academic excellence, servant leadership, and the holistic development of every student, she left an enduring legacy that will continue to shape the future of Bicol College for generations to come.
Her wisdom, kindness, and genuine concern for the welfare of the institution and its people touched countless lives. She led with integrity, humility, and an unwavering commitment to the values of education, leaving an imprint that time can never erase.

As we grieve this tremendous loss, we also celebrate a life devoted to service, leadership, and the pursuit of excellence. Though her physical presence is no longer with us, her vision, principles, and remarkable contributions will continue to inspire every member of the Bicol College community.
On behalf of the faculty, staff, and students of the College of Computer Studies, we extend our deepest and most sincere condolences to the family of Dr. Maria Luz T. Macasinag, her loved ones, and the entire Bicol College community.
