Daraga Community College (DComC) placed fourth through a tiebreaker during the Department of Healthโ€“Malinao Treatment and Rehabilitation Center (DOHโ€“MTRC) Rx Detectives Season 3 Quiz Bee held on September 17, 2026, at the MTRC Lagman Hall in Malinao, Albay.

The event featured a seminar in the morning, where Health Program Officer II Neolan C. Aรฑonuevo presented the rationale for the activity. Chief of Hospital III Dr. Fulbert Alec R. Gillego followed with a discussion of the medical and psychological aspects of addiction, emphasizing the importance of awareness and prevention in addressing the problem of dangerous drugs and substance abuse. He concluded the discussion with the reminder that โ€œit is the addiction that we are judging and assessing, not the person him/herself.โ€

Following the discussion, Chief Health Program Officer John Roque L. Concepcion informed the delegates about the programs and services offered by the Malinao Treatment and Rehabilitation Center (MTRC) to address the issues discussed. Health Program Officer I Kathrine Claire F. Rojas gave a lecture on basic counseling principles afterward, concluding the morning session.

In the afternoon, the quiz bee was held, with Ligao Community College placing first, Amado Cope College placing second, and Ago Medical and Educational Center (AMEC) placing third. Infotech Development System (IDS) College Inc. and DComC tied for fourth place, resulting in a tiebreaker. DComC participant Rona M. De Lumen gave the answer that broke the tie, resulting in DComCโ€™s fourth-place finish. Instructor Kevin Cimanes served as the teamโ€™s coach.

The event was also covered by a regional radio station and personnel from the DOH Bicol Communications Management Unit, who simultaneously broadcasted the event live on social media. The event concluded with the awarding of certificates and cash prizes to the delegates.
