The Bicol College – College of Arts and Sciences joins the entire institution in mourning the loss of our esteemed Chairman and President, Dr. Maria Luz T. Macasinag (January 26, 1963 – July 22, 2026).

Her guidance, grace, and life of faithful service have touched countless lives and left an indelible mark on our academic family. Though words cannot fully express the sorrow in our hearts, we draw comfort in knowing she lived a life of faith, victory, and unwavering commitment to others.

We offer our most sincere condolences and fervent prayers to her family. Thank you, Dr. Macasinag, for your legacy of faith, leadership, and kindness.
Rest peacefully in the arms of our Creator. 🕯️✨

𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗕𝗲𝘆𝗼𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗿𝗼𝗼𝗺 | 𝗦𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗴𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗮𝗻𝗹𝗮𝗹𝗮𝘄𝗶𝗴𝗮𝗻 𝗻𝗴 𝗔𝗹𝗯𝗮𝘆

On July 14, 2026, selected Second-Year and 3rd-Year Bachelor of Arts in Political Science students of Bicol College were given the opportunity to observe the 49th Regular Session of the 15th Sangguniang Panlalawigan ng Albay. This educational visit provided us with firsthand exposure to the provincial legislative process, allowing us to witness how ordinances and resolutions are deliberated and how elected officials carry out their responsibilities in promoting good governance and public service.

The activity was made possible through a formal request submitted to the Office of Hon. Farida “Diday” S. Co, Vice Governor and Presiding Officer of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan ng Albay. We are sincerely grateful for the approval of our request and for the warm accommodation extended to our group.

This meaningful experience has enriched our academic learning, strengthened our understanding of local governance, and inspired us to become future public servants committed to integrity, accountability, and excellence.

The 𝗕𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝗔𝗿𝘁𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗣𝗼𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗱𝘂𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗕𝗶𝗰𝗼𝗹 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗲 – 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗔𝗿𝘁𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲𝘀 spent years navigating recitations, research work, late submissions, reporting tasks, and nonstop academic demands that filled most days and nights.

Within the same circle, personal differences and unresolved misunderstandings became part of the shared experience while continuing with school responsibilities. Attendance was maintained, outputs were completed, and each day still moved forward under academic pressure.

Rest often came late, replaced by revisions, readings, and requirements that seemed endless during peak weeks. Every task finished added another step toward completion.

The practicum served as the final phase, where everything learned was applied in real settings and every effort from previous years quietly came together in practice.

What began in the same classrooms now ends at different turning points, but the same finish line.
